Numazu Yugawara Onsen Manyo no Yu

I really like this place. It's my favorite onsen in the area. It's a bit more expensive than other onsens, but I think it's worth it. You're paying for better quality facilities and amenities. For example, you get unlimited towels. You're free to take facial and bath towels whenever you want, however many times you want. Usually onsens provide you with just one set, or none at all. The food here is great too. I love ordering the cold soba right after soaking in the hot water. The relaxation room is nice too. Very quiet with relaxing ambiance and they provide large blankets/towels for you to rest with. Plus, it's open 24/7, so you can stay for as long as you want. I often come here to soak at night and sleep in the relaxation room until the next morning, followed by a morning soak. Their website often provides coupons expressly for this kind of visit.

I decided last minute to go to an onsen and was blown away by this location. I thought I was going to only spend an hour but I ended up spending 3 hours here. The bath was comforting with many people using it at the same time. I had 2 of the vending machine milks which are refreshing and only 200 yen. The dinner was delicious and filling. They have a collab with love live and I was surprised I never heard of the collab despite being a fan of the anime. If I’m ever in the area again, I will return!

To be honest, for the facilities available this is a bit overpriced in my opinion. Having lived in Japan for 12 years, I can name quite a few cheaper places that have way more facilities and way nicer facilities. All in all, it was good and I like the fact that there's a little cafeteria kind of place right outside of the hot springs. They had good food, but they weren't offering the beer tasting set that was being promoted on the menu. Unfortunately, I can only give four out of 5 stars.

Numazu Yugawara Onsen is reasonably priced. The provide you with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a Yukata. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can also get a variety of massages. There's a souvenir shop and a place to grab a bite to eat. The hot bath is inside and outside very relaxing. There's also a sauna. Highly recommend especially if your traveling.

As a tourist this is a great place as your first onsen experience. A lot of things are made easy to understand and you can have quality time. I can see why some criticize it as expensive - I couldn't afford coming here every week if I use baths and eat here. For baths, 1 drink, one food and massage chair I paid together about 30eur.
