Odate Yukizawa Onsen Seifuso

I stayed with friends in a four-person room for one night in mid-May 2025. The hotel interior feels a bit old, but has a charming atmosphere. Because it's surrounded by mountains, cell phone reception was fine with Docomo, but AU was difficult to connect and occasionally lost signal. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, so I recommend using that. There are vending machines selling snacks, canned beer, chuhai, and drinks near the front desk, but they don't sell snacks like cup noodles. We checked in advance and brought our own drinks this time. By the way, there is a dining room for guests on the second floor, but bringing alcohol there requires a ¥1,000 fee per table or one drink per person. Dinner this time included kiritanpo hotpot, roast pork, and wild vegetable dishes. Everything was delicious and filling. The broth in the kiritanpo hotpot, in particular, had a sweet chicken flavor and was truly delicious. The bathhouse is shared with day-trippers, so it can get crowded at certain times of the day. The indoor bath was a little hot, but the open-air bath was lukewarm. There was also a sauna, but it was a mist sauna, so the temperature was low. The shower pressure was quite weak, which was a shame... The room was equipped with a toilet and sink, and there were plenty of amenities. From the window, you could see the trees and hear the birds singing, creating a lovely atmosphere. This time, the price was ¥8,800 per person, including two meals (breakfast and dinner), but considering the quality of the food, even in these times, it was great value for money and I was very satisfied! I would definitely stay again.

This is one of my favorite hot spring inns, where I've stayed overnight many times. While the exterior is certainly old, the interior of the accommodation building is clean and has a calming atmosphere. The stone-built indoor bath is quite hot, so I recommend getting used to the temperature in the rustic, lukewarm open-air bath before entering. There is a sauna, but no cold plunge pool, which might be disappointing for those who like to fully relax in a sauna. Breakfast consists of boxed lunches with various side dishes that seem to change daily, and rice, miso soup, natto, and a soft-boiled egg are served buffet-style. For the miso soup, you can choose from wakame seaweed, chopped green onions, grated kelp, and wheat gluten. Tea and coffee dispensers were installed at some point, but unfortunately, they were still being prepared and unavailable… It's a place where you can enjoy hot springs at a reasonable price, so I would like to go again.

Located about a 15-minute drive from Odate city, this is a fantastic hot spring with an outstanding atmosphere, surrounded by a tranquil forest. The open-air bath is lukewarm so you can stay in it for a long time, while the indoor bath is a little hotter, which makes for a great balance! And the biggest attraction here is that the floor is completely non-slip!! I'm bringing my two preschool children, so it's safe for them to run around. I've been visiting this hot spring since I was a child, and I think it's definitely the best hot spring in Odate, including in terms of value for money. Sadly, the number of hot springs in Odate has decreased significantly in recent years, but I hope this one will remain forever.

I stayed overnight on a business trip. The hot spring inn is located in the mountains and has a nice atmosphere. The room is new and clean. There are two hot spring baths, an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. One of the outdoor baths is quite warm, while the indoor bath is quite hot. My only concern is the shower...the hot water doesn't come out when someone is using it...and the changing room is dirty. I wonder if they don't have many staff?

I've only used the onsen here. For the price you can get free shampoo and body wash. 100 yen to use the hair dryer. Indoor and outdoor area. Very gorgeous in all seasons. The inside washing area is a bit old but it adds to the feel of the place. There are a few vending machines with a good selection of drinks in the lounge area. Two massage chairs facing the tv and some wooden benches behind those. The floor is carpeted in the lounge area.
