Onsen Matsunoyu

This place is heaven for bath lovers (lol). First of all, like Anedogawa Onsen, the water is smooth and slightly slimy, which is perfect. The ladies clean the lockers and other areas very frequently, so it feels very clean. The building also maintains a relatively clean atmosphere. The water temperatures are available in lukewarm and normal, which is great for me, as I prefer lukewarm. And the cold baths also have a lukewarm temperature of around 20 degrees and a normal temperature of around 15 degrees! I've been to nearly 300 public baths and hot springs, but this might be a first for me. The mist sauna is also a luxurious, fairly hot mist sauna, using a system that seems to cool the hot spring water from the source. There's also a TV in the indoor bath and washing area (lol). There are a lot of warning signs, but as long as you follow basic etiquette, it shouldn't be a problem for most people. All in all, this is my number one bathing facility for high satisfaction.

Public baths in Tohoku Town are very cheap! This one is 330 yen for adults. The waiting area and bath area have been renovated and are very clean. There are lukewarm and regular baths, an electric bath, and an open-air bath. There are two types of saunas: regular and steam. Of course, there is also a cold bath. The shower head is removable. The faucets have separate hot and cold water faucets. Temperature cannot be adjusted. The spring water is a little dark, thick, and has a slight odor. It was great! I remember the unique warning signs inside the store (lol).

Sorry, but the quality of the spring water wasn't that great. Also, I felt that the water in both the indoor and outdoor baths was generally dirty. Maybe it's because there are a lot of people bathing, but... The baths are spacious and there are plenty of washing areas. In some places you can watch TV. The jets from the sides and below are timed by a switch. If you're not comfortable with that, you won't be able to relax. The bathing fee is 350 yen, and there's an additional charge for the hair dryer (which is fine as it has a strong function).

It's still the best. I've been using it recently for my morning bath on my way back to Aomori city from the Hachinohe Morning Market, and it's great. The temperature is around 42-43 degrees, and there are two types of baths with different temperatures: open-air, sauna, and cold water bath. I only know the men's bath, but there is also a sleeping space, so you can relax! I'll be using it for camping in the spring m(_ _)m

For the past few years, I've occasionally taken a morning bath. Not realizing that the water was a slightly black hot spring, I got in the shower and, looking at the sink below, wondered if I was covered in dust. 😅 I like that there are two types of saunas and two types of cold baths. There are hot, regular, open-air, and even a bedrock bath, so I often end up soaking in them for quite a long time.
