Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Minoh Onsen Spa Garden

We came for the Minoh park and waterfall (which takes a couple of hours) and then went to the onsen (spa) here. This is the typical Japanese spa - gender separated and fully naked. Water was between 39 and 42 degrees. Also they have “stone sauna” as an extra. This is just a dry sauna experience. Only get it if really like that. The sauna is mixed genre and clothed. Ah! They have free play Astro City arcade cabinets in the basement! Great addition! We went on a weekday around lunch time and we were almost alone.

They’re not your typical international tourist spot so don’t expect everything to be labelled in English. But once you get passed the language barrier, which the staff was really helpful to explain as clear as possible to me, it was such a great place to relax after exploring the park, the temples and the fall! I went on a Monday, the public area was quite crowded when I arrived but the public bath was ok, it was rather quiet tbh. Love that the amenities were all very well prepared. Food was great too!

I was in the area and visiting an onsen theme park sounded fun. It's fun that you get a yukata as part of the rental but I didn't think it was worth the hefty 2500 yen price tag. There are a couple of large baths and a rotenburo, but not as much variety as I would have expected. While it was mostly nice, there's also a bit of dinge to this place. I want too impressed by the food offerings and it kind of sucks that you have to pay to play the games. I thought Spa World was better and less expensive

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Better to arrange a day tour for this amazing place. There has indoor night market, free bathrobes, cost playing suit, souvenirs stores, variety styles cuisines and cold milk vending machines which is a must drink after bathing in Japanese’s style hot spring. Give yourself a chance to relax and experience this remarkable hot spring.

Beautiful hotsprings hotel. I paid for a day pass ~¥1100. Great view of the city from the deck in front of the hotel. Take the glass elevator up from the village. 5 minute walk from the station. There is a nice dining area, areas to relax, etc. Perfect place to rejuvenate after walking up the nearby road to the waterfall.
