Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Ena Gorge

Great hotel to stay in. Good for kids too. There is plenty to eat at the buffet (not the best quality but more than good enough for the price.) The onsen is good as was the room and hotel in general. The furnishings and carpet etc are super Showa era which is a plus for me! The staff are very friendly and warm. There was a fun and silly bingo event you could win prizes at which was a laugh and a good chance to interact with other guests. It was simple but I felt it was a nice touch. It’s pleasant a quiet around the hotel so it makes for a relaxed vibe. There is plenty of space too so it was nice to take the kids out of the crowded city. If you like Showa it’s worth a visit.
We stayed 3 nights. The first night we were on the 1st floor of the West Wing. Part of the gorge view was blocked. We requested to move to a higher floor for the next 2 nights. We were moved to the 4th floor of the same wing. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff at the reception, the dining room, Karaoke, etc are friendly & helpful. The only down side is there is no cold water spa nor sauna in the onsen. Only hot water spa & an outside hot water spa.
The food service was great. My kids loved it. Plenty of food and drink at the buffet both in the evening and breakfast services. Staff were very friendly and responsive. The spa was good with outside rotenburo. Time it right and early birds can get the place to yourself in the morning. Very clean and hot. Rotenburo has a great view of Ena lake. Overall a very njoyable experience.
For JPN$8100/night per person . The food and room is nice . But it smells smoky outside the room . I guess to separate smoking room zone & non-smoking room zone . It would be better for staying .
Nice location great view very good dinner also good breakfast The onsen was perfect The staff were very very nice The rooms are old and not very clean ...
