Ooka Onsen Spa

This hot spring is located in a peaceful village in the mountains of Shinshu. It's a little far from Nagano city by car, but the view is so spectacular you won't regret going! You can see the entire Northern Alps. We went on a weekday lunchtime, and it was all to ourselves! We were able to relax and soothe our daily fatigue. I know the current economic situation is tough, but this is a hot spring that I definitely want to see continue in the future. 410 yen is so cheap I think. So I bought a towel instead to show my support. I'm sure the snowy roads are difficult in winter, but I'll definitely come back for more relaxation while I'm in Nagano.

With the remaining snow in May, we were able to enjoy a spectacular view of the Northern Alps. I was moved by the view that spread out before me from the bath. It's rare to find a hot spring in the prefecture with such a view of the Northern Alps. And it only cost 360 yen!! For lunch, we had konetsuki, tempura, pickles, and soba noodles made by local women. After our soak in the hot spring, we had some coffee from Omi Village! The iced coffee was delicious. A secluded hot spring high up in the mountains! It was surprisingly busy!

There are indoor and outdoor baths, each on the small side. The view is great 🏔️ The indoor bath was lukewarm, while the outdoor bath was just right, not too hot. The shampoo and body wash were of average quality. Perhaps it's a hidden gem, as I was the only customer on a weekday. The tempura for lunch was delicious 🙆 The soba noodles themselves were a bit lacking in firmness, but...

I've known about it for a while, but today was my first time visiting. The facility is larger than I expected. There are two baths, an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and my 3rd grade child enjoyed the open-air bath so much that he had a big smile on his face that he doesn't usually show. The curry and soba noodles were both delicious. I'd like to go again.

This hot spring has a really beautiful view. The building is beautiful, and there is an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The indoor bath is spacious and there is also a washing area. The open-air bath can fit three to four people. I think 440 yen is a bargain! The large hall is a homey space, and I was able to relax after my bath.
