湯ノ口温泉

Really nice,calm, peaceful place. We stayed 3 nights in bungalow. Price about 9500yen for a bungalow, and after 2nd night 8500, for a clean, almost new space. Little kitchen with IH,microwave owen, refrigerator, toilet, air condition. Free onsen(hot spring) Can rent barbecue set, rice cooker...lots of free dishes,knives. Just need to bring ingredients. There is washing machine as a part of bungalow, bring soap for it. Really nice place,my kids enjoyed. Stuff- I can give them 10 stars. Great hospitality. They were so much kind. Older people are working there, and they were so much great to kids, we all were so much happy. Onsen-hot spring is the story for itself. Great quality water. I have sensitive skin, and water was really good for me. Nice ambient, forest and mountain. And the hot spring is all in wood and rock. If you are on bicycle,motorcycle, just passing, it is worth staying at least one night. I saw stairway leading into the mountain. 20mins of climbing is worth. When you come to the top, the view at the river-absolutely amazing, wonderful. Could sit there all day, watching,thinking, with birds singing. Climb is not for little kids. It is steep. This place is really nice and worth visiting. Approach road-from the main road 2km driving. It is maybe 3m wide,but with so many mirrors, and wide passing places, it is not a problem ti drive. Drive slowly, and dont worry.

I came to the Nanki area, but since I wasn't staying overnight in a hot spring resort, I didn't get to take a bath, so I came all the way here specifically for the hot springs. Unfortunately, it was raining outside, but that wasn't a problem since the hot springs were my goal! I also wanted to ride the trolley train, but it seemed to be closed. The hot spring didn't have a strong sulfur smell, but it smelled and looked like iron rust. The water was directly from the source, so the water was constantly flowing out of the tub. There were several types of baths, but I think it said "deep bath"? There was a deep bath in the open-air bath, and the stones were positioned just right for sitting. When I sat there, the water came up to my shoulders, which was just the right height for someone my height. The water felt like it reached my shoulders even when I was sitting in a chair. The hot spring is that deep. I was able to immerse myself in the hot spring up to my shoulders quite comfortably, which I personally liked. After my bath, I stopped off in the not-so-large rest area and gulped down the classic local milk. Phew! This is the perfect hot spring resort to just enjoy the hot springs in peace. It seems like you can relax without thinking about anything else. I'd like to stop by again if I have the chance.

What a beautiful place. I camped by the river nearby and came here for a bath. On my first day. The architecture is so beautiful, and the landscaping of the outdoor pools is also excellent one mildly warm pool, one tool with three reclining stone benches and a very hot pool all underneath Communica style building, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful Naomi San gave me a ride back to my camp after I hitchhiked. I also stayed one night in the cabins. It was roughly AU$100, but very comfortable with kitchen, toilet, TV and free access to the ensuite, and as there is no bathroom the area is also so beautiful well worth a visit

Perfect location to stay since it’s located near Dorokyo Gorge. Free entrance to Onsen if you stay at their property (extra 1,100 for private bath). BBQ is also allowed, so it’s better if you bring your own gear and ingredients, but they also provide rental if you need one. The staff also very helpful and friendly ❤️

It’s pity not many foreigner knows such a hidden gem where you can enjoy 100%local attraction like here ! 2 hot springs explore by the retro min cart cost only about ¥1,000 far from tourist price !!
