Oyama Omoigawa Onsen

The indoor hot spring bath is lukewarm, so you can soak for a long time. I think the water quality is weakly alkaline, but nothing special. The open-air bath and open-air tub bath offer a great view of the Omoigawa River without any obstructions, creating a wonderful sense of openness. (Apparently, the same is true for the women's bath.) The tatami-floored rest area is not large, but blankets and other amenities are provided so you can relax comfortably. There is a ping-pong table in the courtyard, so children can have fun, too. The restaurant (which we did not use) has a wide variety of menu items. It is easy to find as it uses meal tickets. If you are driving, the hot spring is a little difficult to find, as you have to go straight through a shopping mall. There is a spacious parking lot dedicated to the hot spring.

I visited on a weekday morning. The view of the Omoigawa River from the open-air bath is amazing ♨️ The sauna is also well-set up; even though it's around 95 degrees Celsius, it's not stuffy and very comfortable ^_^ The slight automatic löyly adds just the right amount of humidity, allowing me to work up a good sweat 💦 The cold plunge pool uses well water, which is soft and not too cold, which is great ♪ I relaxed on a deck chair, enjoying the view while getting thoroughly refreshed. The hot spring bath, along the wall side of the source water, has lukewarm water, almost like a neutral temperature ♨️ Combined with the sauna, it creates the ultimate state of relaxation 👼 I will definitely come again.

Nice if somewhat small onsen with attached restaurant serving Japanese everyday specialities. Personal recommendation: Try the sausages, and the local beer. 2nd trip since September. Inexpensive basic onsen with food, activities with a river view. I forgot the name but luckily or terrifyingly Google caught it for me. My friend always pays for me but I belive it was like 800yen. Clean facility and free lockers.

Nice River view and fresh cooler air at their outdoor baths. If you take the bus to Oyama Station, ask their front desk for a bus 100 yen discount coupon.
