Roadside Station Ganjoju Onsen

About an hour's drive from Yamaguchi City, my husband and I visited the Ganjoju Onsen Roadside Station while on a road trip. 💰 Exceptional Value and a Ryokan-like Atmosphere The first thing that surprised us was the incredibly reasonable bathing fee of just ¥520 for adults! And the quality. The building has the feel of a Japanese-style ryokan, and is very tasteful. The open-air bath is decorated in a garden-like setting, and we were able to relax in three different types of baths: a rock bath, a ceramic bath, and a shallow bath, all while gazing at the natural mountain range. It's hard to find another hot spring that offers such satisfaction at this price. 🥩 Spacious Space to Relieve Fatigue and a Delicious Set Meal After the bath, we relaxed in the spacious tatami room, completely relieving the fatigue of the drive and bath. The Mutsumi Pork Ginger Pork Set Meal (¥1,600 including tax) we ordered at the restaurant "Yurakuen" was also fantastic. The Mutsumi Pork Ginger Pork was so delicious that we ate the rice like crazy! You get a hot spring, a spacious rest area, and delicious gourmet food all for this price. We wholeheartedly recommend this roadside hot spring station as it offers the best value for money!

Beautiful onsen with so much attention to detail. The Grounds Well-maintained and cared for. There's a statue of a cat priest, along with other animal statues. When we went, they were decorating the entrance walkway stairs with holiday lights. At night i'm sure it looks spectacular. Foot Bath and other cute touches There was an area where you can bathe your feet. The gachapon toys here were also thoughtful. My Dad secured a Capybara bathing in a small onsen. So cute and so on theme! The Restaurant Comfort food served in a casual and friendly environment. We had the udon and it was warming and delicious. The Onsen It is a real onsen, not a sento. There were even washing stations outside, so rare to find. The outside bathing areas were beautiful. Hinoki tub, and copper tub, and a rotenburo. All surrounded by beautiful landscaping. And relaxing music played as we bathed. Like I mentioned, there is some serious attention to detail here. It's clear that those who run this place do it with care and thoughtfulness. Overall, we were really impressed with this onsen. Everyone was also very friendly and sincere. My new favorite Onsen in Shimane!

A hot spring attached to a roadside station. It's a "weakly radioactive sodium bicarbonate spring" or "simple weakly radioactive hot spring (radium hot spring)." The slippery texture was wonderful. The open-air bath while watching the snowy scenery was the best. I read a review that Yurakuen's pork ginger stir-fry is made with Mutsumi pork, and it really was chewy, sweet, and delicious. It made me want to eat more. The chicken and cabbage set meal was also filling and looked satisfying.

It's a small but stylish building with amazing facilities. There's a footbath at the entrance, three types of baths, and the open-air bath, with its garden-like setting, was fantastic. Even the toilets are stylish.

It's a convenient yet nice onsen. Not very big but sufficient. Staff are friendly and nice and the place is clean and tidy
