Saga Pokapoka Onsen

I first went on a Thursday but found it was closed for the day, I had walked 30mins to get there but found the closed sign to my dismay.l despite the hours saying it should've been open I went the next day and fortunately it was open, the staff were very friendly and inviting though. I made a classic foreigner mistake and walked in with my shoes, they quickly pointed it out and showed me to the shoe lockers. As I checked the key in and proceeded to the baths, an elderly gentleman employee helped me through the process of choosing lockers to store my things and get a towel. They were all very patient with me as a foreigner. The general baths were limited/simple; a foot bath, jet bath, hot/cold soak baths and a sauna, but it was something I so desperately needed. After 24hrs from layovers, I simply felt rejuvenated. I say skip your morning shower at your hotel and just come here. There's a mall nearby as well, and some parks, so you can relax afterwards or get on with the rest of your day feeling refreshed.

The sauna was nice, but the place, as a whole, is NOT tattoo friendly. I asked the counter staff to be safe and was met with a very curt answer. If you can't keep your ink covered, I wouldn't recommend coming here. You can't get into the baths, at all. You can find better places in the area.

I really enjoy going to this "city onsen". The baths are various and I love relaxing in the stone spa after bathing. They have a really nice reading space, lots of manga and massages are also really relaxing.

We love this onsen. There are twelve kinds of way to enjoy this place. I love the electrotherapy pool! Please do try it when you visit this onsen. You can also find a vegan snack here.

One of the best onsens in my experience. Lots of baths, sauna, outdoor bath. Nice cafe inside. No coins needed. on the downside its quite busy and everything is written in japanese.
