The cleanliness is questionable. It seems like they don't clean. The entire women's changing room was covered in hair. Where do they clean hair? I wondered, but it was the women's entrance. It's really far away. The entire bathroom floor was covered in hair. They were there during staff hours, but it seems cleaning the floors is outside of their duties. The entire floor, both in the changing room and the bathroom, was covered in hair. There were times when there was a lot of dirt floating in the bathtub. I go occasionally, but it's the same every time, and there's been no improvement... This was the first time I've directly voiced my concerns to the reception desk. I don't think they'll improve. They immediately contacted other staff members and asked them to go and check, but there was no sign of them doing so... Women who are planning to go after March 1, 2026, should take a good look at the floor to see if there are any changes. And please, be careful of the hair around your feet...

I used this bathhouse for a day trip after a long time. The reddish-brown water is a strong sodium chloride spring, so it has a salty taste and warms you up nicely. There's also a regular hot water jet bath, a sauna, a cold bath, and a carbonated spring bath. The sauna has six löyly sessions a day, but they're about every two hours, so it might be a good idea to check the schedule on their website before you go. (I passed a staff member with a large fan after my bath, unfortunately.) The warm carbonated spring bath lifts my spirits, as I expect it to have a beautifying effect on my skin. The facilities are a bit old, but they're clean, and I'm surprised that the price is still only 500 yen (as of September 2025).

Sakyu Onsen Yumeron is a wonderful hotel. I stayed for the night because I was late booking a hotel for the Noshiro Tanabata Castle Lantern Festival and this was the closest one available. I so glad I stayed here. They helped arrange a taxi to the festival as there were no trains or busses running. So helpful! They have wonderful service, clean and efficient rooms, and excellent Onsen with three different temperature baths, an outdoor Onsen as well as a Cold Bath and Sauna! I had such a wonderful time and the tradition Japanese meal I had was very delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

This is a bit biased towards the plan, but the service, the room, the meals, and the baths were all fantastic! 🙆 Two meals were about 13,000 yen (per person), but the food was incredibly varied and I was able to fully enjoy the flavors of Akita and Tohoku. 😋 The bath was a strong sodium chloride spring, but the open-air bath was quite small. 😢 And the owner, Mr. Oji, is also a guesthouse owner. This is definitely an inn beloved by the locals. 👍 The natto at breakfast was my favorite, and I described it as "delicious." ✨ Above all, the kind and warm service from the waiters made me feel happy right from the morning. 😆

PayPay is accepted. Other QR code payment methods are also available. About the food Honestly, I can't recommend the food in the cafeteria. It had a chemical-like smell, and the rice was too soft and not very tasty. It's quite disappointing to have such poor food at a facility you've never visited before. I recommend eating somewhere else before or after your visit. The hot spring itself wasn't particularly good compared to other facilities. While the payment options were convenient, my satisfaction level with both the food and the hot spring was low.
