It's a hot spring worth visiting at least once. It's run by the same company that runs an amusement facility and a super sento in Kamimaezu, Nagoya. Even if you join on the same day, the membership discount only applies to your next visit. At that point, it looks like there won't be another one. The cost-effectiveness is poor and it's expensive, so the advantage is that it's often empty. Bath and hand towels are available for rental. As it's located at the bottom of a valley, there's no view, making it a rather uncomfortable open-air bath. At this price, it might be worth spending the extra travel costs to visit the two existing hot springs in Toyota City or the hot spring with a better view in Moriyama. (The low cost per bath offsets the travel costs.)
I'm a heavy user. Sanage Onsen in Toyota City is a natural radon spring known for its skin-beautifying properties. The water is very soft and leaves your skin feeling moisturized. The open-air bath is surrounded by lush greenery, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing bath while admiring the scenery of the four seasons. The facility is clean, and there are plenty of rest areas and dining options, so you can spend the whole day relaxing. The specialty medicinal cuisine is especially recommended, with a gentle flavor that warms you from the inside out. It's easily accessible from the city center and can be used for both day trips and overnight stays, making it the perfect hot spring for those seeking relaxation.
Onsen is a must to go place. It is small and a little bit expensive, but it's worth it (1500 yen) You can also take a bottle (5L max) to get the fresh water inside the onsen. (Drinkable, Not the hot one). They give you two towels. One large and a small one. You don't need to bring one yourself. There is a option to take the Yukata if you want to eat at the restaurant there or just wear it, but it's optional. Very relaxing.
This hot spring had a very nice atmosphere. The trees illuminated by lights are beautiful when you visit at night. You can enter the hot spring and stay at the accommodation. You can also go back in only the hot spring. I went here on a Friday night. It was a bit crowded. I think it will be more crowded on Saturdays and Sundays. Next time I want to relax, while drinking.
Really mystical with lots of steam in the in-house bathroom. It's nice to relax amidst rocks. However, the pool on the outside was too small to accommodate the number of guests. It seems really famous onsen so many visitors there was. The price is a bit expensive considering the facility.

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
