Food is delicious. And it's like washoku restaurant, meaning serving traditional Japanese food like soba, maguro, etc. The food is beautifully presented, it's Instagramable. The environment is also good. When you done the onsen, eating here is a good choice. The body is already relaxed and full belly is just another level of happiness. Or when you just want to eat is also good. You have to take off your shoes and put it in the cabinet and when you just want to eat you can give the cabinet key to the workers there and they're going to give you card for you to keep. And when you're done eating and want to going home you can exchange the card with the cabinet key again to get your shoes. It's quite unique in my opinion. Water is poured 3-4 times during each löyly, making it quite hot. There are also two cold plunge pools and cooling areas, one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor cold plunge pool is slightly colder. The outdoor cooling area has plenty of reclining chairs for lying down. The indoor cooling area has four chairs and a fan that can be turned on at will. There are no cotton swabs or similar items in the washroom. The bathing area is different from others; there are no partitions between the washing areas. The bathing area is in the center, with washing areas around the perimeter, creating a layout that could also serve as a community gathering place. The indoor bath is a carbonated spring, with a different type of spring each day. The open-air bath is Nanpeidai Onsen (hot spring).

I stopped by here in the afternoon on a weekday after a morning ski trip. Compared to a certain refreshment center I used last year, this facility is far better than the price difference! I didn't feel like returning there, but this one has a reasonable entrance fee, the baths are spacious overall, and I'm impressed. I'd like to bring my wife, who loves carbonated springs, next time. There are two types of saunas, which I like, and the cold water bath is just the right temperature. I did notice a slight sewage smell near the entrance from the changing room, as if the water seal in the drain trap had blown away.

This was my first time using the facility. It's not a new facility, but it was clean. The washing areas were located all around the indoor bath. I used the sauna, but the outdoor relaxation area was spacious, with about 30 chairs and a wide variety of chairs. I was very satisfied with the open-air bathing experience. If I had one complaint, it was that the free rest area was small considering the size of the facility. Really small. A big minus. Disappointing.

It feels like a place for the citizens of Sano to relax. It's overflowing with citizens, but there's a great manga corner, so it's not a hassle to wait for your family. It's nice to take a dip in the big bathtub once in a while♪
