I've been here many times since it opened, but I was surprised when I came back after so long! All three people except me were covered in tattoos! I didn't know tattoos were allowed. It's unpleasant to see people talking loudly and lying down in the sauna as if they own the place. In Koriyama City and Sukagawa City, there are no other places that allow tattoos and allow sauna use, so I guess they're all concentrated at this facility. I'm not trying to discriminate, but I guess it can't be helped in places like Tokyo where there are a lot of foreign tourists, and if it's just a small tattoo from youth, I guess it's not a problem as long as they wear a supporter But it's off-putting when someone has a tattoo covering their back and butt. At Hibari Onsen, the open-air barrel sauna is free. The facilities are new and I liked the sauna, but I'll probably stay away...what a shame. We stopped here for a morning bath on our way to Ouchijuku after camping in our car in Iwaki. You can use the bath by the hour or for the whole day. Since we were just planning a quick dip and don't like long baths, we decided to stay for an hour, but it was so comfortable that an hour felt like more than enough. The large communal bath has a large indoor bath and cold bath, and an outdoor open-air bath and about five relaxation chairs lined up. The sauna also has a TV, making it very comfortable.
