Sendai Taki Onsen

[A Nostalgic Hot Springs Resort with a Rustic Atmosphere] This hot springs resort is said to have been beloved by Saigo. This hot springs town has a retro Showa-era atmosphere, reminiscent of the vibrant energy it must have had during the bubble era of the Showa era. It's a must-see for fans of this kind of atmosphere! The statue, created to commemorate the NHK Taiga drama "Segodon," is very tasteful. When I tried to take a photo, a local called out to me, "Hey! Take a photo here! Take a photo!" It made me feel even more at ease. ♡ Kyushu definitely has a different vibe than Kanto. There are so many nice people... (^^) For that reason, I'm giving it 4 stars! It's well worth a visit, so give it a try! The hot springs are impeccable!

There are resources, but it's a waste in many ways. The aging population seems to be lacking motivation. First of all, the hot springs are sulfurous and of good quality. However, there are few places with lockers. The baths are cheap. However, there are no restaurants or cafes. Google Maps doesn't have information on local buses like the Nankoku Bus, so it's difficult to find directions to get there and back. Also, there are many cute cats that are accustomed to people, but there's no cat cafe. There is also a bus that runs from Kawauchi Station for 150 yen.

It felt like I was left behind in the Showa era. I love it, so I'll definitely go back. The hot water was absolutely amazing. I tried the public bath and Futabaya, and was impressed by the design of the bathtubs at both. It was old, but well-maintained and comfortable❗ There was a shop in the middle of town run by an old lady in her 90s, and her tamagoyaki (rolled omelets) were incredibly delicious.

I went there by motorbike. I guess it was prosperous 30-40 years ago. When I asked the locals, they said it's been developed by young people and they're trying to attract tourists, keep it up! By the way, I went to Kawauchi Rock Bath. The water is slippery and smooth, maybe it's good for dry skin, I don't know though 😅😅

Takagi Onsen ♨️ was amazing. I went to Shimozono. The lady there was very friendly and always said, "Please take your time." The water was lukewarm and the sulfur hot spring felt like it clung to your skin, making it really warm. Only 250 yen for adults, it's amazing. Please go and check it out.
