Seseragi Onsen

When I called to inquire about the family bath, the staff were very polite and I decided to go there. When I subsequently took a bath in the family bath, I was pleased to find that it also had an open-air bath. The open-air bath was just the right size for a family to bathe in, and it was very picturesque and pleasant to sit in it in the snow. Of course, Aomori is home to many hot springs, and while there are other family baths with open-air baths, there aren't many of them, so this is very useful. We will continue to make use of this facility in the future, as we have small children. Personally, I think it's better to have an open-air bath that you can't use at home, so I would be grateful if more places like Seseragi Onsen were to become popular. *One thing to note: In the "summer" and "winter" rooms, the fence is relatively low, so I noticed that when moving from the indoor bath to the open-air bath, you could see everything from the house beyond the fence. If you are a woman traveling with you, it may be best to ask for a room change if you are shown to an outdoor open-air bath. The temperature is good, so you need to be careful about that. If possible, I would appreciate it if some kind of measure could be devised in the future.

[Poor sauna etiquette] The facility itself is very attractive. The sauna room is spacious and the temperature is just right, and the cold water bath is comfortably cool. The outdoor bathing area is also spacious, and there are even "totonoi chairs" (relaxing chairs) installed, creating a very relaxing environment. However, it's unfortunate that some regular users exhibit poor sauna etiquette. • Wringing out towels inside the sauna room • Saving a spot while still using a sauna mat • Diving in the cold water bath • Putting towels in the cold water bath • Bringing chairs in and occupying the upper level These behaviors are commonplace, and the newly re-covered sauna floorboards are already starting to show signs of wear. Furthermore, the sauna room door doesn't close properly, which seems to be interfering with temperature control. We hope the facility will make repairs as soon as possible. It's a shame that such good facilities are being wasted by such poor etiquette. We hope the facility will take further steps, such as educating users about proper etiquette and raising awareness.

February 15, 2025: Ramen ¥650, bathing fee ¥480 September 13, 2023: Went for lunch. Parking is spacious and easy to park in. Kakesoba noodles ¥500 from the ticket machine. Water is served at the counter in the restaurant. Self-service (takes about 5 minutes). There are both regular seating and tatami seating. Fruits and vegetables are sold in the lobby. Purchased three pears for ¥200. Day-use bathing: Use the ticket machine for ¥450. Present your ticket at reception. The changing room is spacious, with 104 shelves and baskets, 24 lockers with locks, 16 small lockers, and two sinks. Access to the hot stone bath from the changing room is available. Bathroom: High ceiling, 33 faucets. General bath: Approximately 43 and 42 degrees. Walk-in bath: Approximately 41 degrees. Bubble bath: Approximately 41 degrees. Sauna: Cold bath. Two open-air baths: Approximately 40 and 41 degrees. Two waterfall baths with separate sections. Four faucets. Family bath: ¥1500. There is also a family bath with an open-air bath. Towels turn brown.

A day-trip hot spring located on the outskirts of Hirosaki city. The fee is 400 yen in the early morning. The normal rate is 480 yen for adults, 170 yen for elementary school students, and 80 yen for infants, and there is also a coupon ticket for 11 tickets that costs 4000 yen in the early morning, and 4500 yen for regular tickets, but the validity period is up to six months. The family bath is 1800 yen for 1 hour. An extension of 30 minutes is 900 yen. The water is cloudy with a dark source color. There is lukewarm water and hot water, but the lukewarm water was really lukewarm. The hot water felt a little hot at first, but it wasn't bad once my body got used to it. The inside of the store was nice and clean.

December 13, 2025 Visited at 7:30 PM. 480 yen. High-temperature bath, vibrating bath, walking bath, jet bath (low pressure), open-air bath, and cold bath (slightly warm). No shampoo provided. The sauna is U-shaped with two levels and is set to 90 degrees. It can accommodate more than 10 people at a time. There is a TV. There are no mats, so please bring your own if you are concerned about this. There is a relaxation chair in the open-air bath area. It is very similar to the nearby Yasuragi Onsen. The dining room is open until 7:00 PM.
