Shimada City Tashironosato Onsen Itawari no Yu

The hot spring water was very smooth and moisturizing. It felt so good! POLA shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are available. Towels are only available for purchase, not rental, so it might be inconvenient for a quick stop... The udon noodles in the cafeteria were thick and very filling. They were delicious with lots of meat. An elderly person passing by complained to me that the noodles got cold so quickly. It takes a while to eat them if your jaw is weak, but I guess that can't be helped, old man. There were also limited-time menus. There was a kids' corner, tatami rooms, and high chairs (without seatbelts), perfect for families. There were a few people sleeping in the rest area. There were no cushions, so my legs went numb. However, some people were using cushions, so maybe there were some somewhere. The price is cheaper for local residents, so the hot springs are quite pleasant, and if your child is out of diapers, I think it's worth it.

I visited this hot spring after completing the Fujieda Half Marathon. In conclusion, it's the perfect reward spot for runners. The interior, with its warm wooden ambiance, is clean, and the lockers are spacious and easy to use. The indoor and outdoor baths are truly refreshing, allowing you to wash away all the sweat and fatigue after a race. The feeling of the weight slowly easing out of your legs is irresistible. The prices are reasonable, and the local prices are a nice plus. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops, where you can enjoy local specialties and snacks. Cool down after your bath with some ice cream (it's a little nice to see that they have Baskin-Robbins). There's also a large parking lot, and access from the marathon venue was easy. This is a hot spring that I'd like to visit again in the future as a place to "rewind" after a race. I recommend this place to all runners.

Friday, January 30, 2026 The long-awaited Itawari no Yu bath 💯 It has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a carbonated spring! The facility is clean and has a restaurant, rest area, smoking area, and a shop. You can spend the whole day relaxing in the hot springs 😘 - Stays of more than four hours require an additional fee. - You need your own sauna mat to use the sauna (available for purchase at the shop). - I didn't understand how to use the lock card at first. - Shimada residents receive a discount. It's a great place for Shimada residents to relax. I felt it was a bit pricey for visitors from outside the city. For the same price, Kawane Onsen offers better water quality.

This onsen is beautiful. It cost 870yen as we are not residents of this prefecture. It was quite busy with lots of locals but there is a lot of space inside so it doesn’t feel cramped. There are three pools outside, three inside, a sauna (byo mat) and a lovely rest area with free tea. I would visit again.

Fantastic place! It is run by Shimada City. Very reasonable prices. Good, clean facilities. Ample parking. The private bath is awesome!! Good food as well.
