We stumbled onto this while cycling the Shimanami Kaido. I thought there were no onsens on this island, and then we find there's one 5 minutes from our accomodations and the outdoor pool has a wonderful view of the bridge and ocean! Absolutely fantastic. It is quite the community hub. Swimming lessons were ongoing in the pool when we arrived. Shampoo/body wash/towels are available for purchase. Would absolutely come back here.

After a hot day cycling we were curious to visit and even on a Sunday on the bank holiday weekend it was open until 8.30pm. One fixed price for both pool and Onsen, if you want to use pool need to buy cap, they also sell little towels. Have a small tattoo but they were ok with. Take bathing costume for pool, albeit seems mainly a pool for lengths, but not needed for Olsen, it’s split men and women. Very refreshing

I was riding the Shimanami route and staying at the near by Hostel. They recommended this onsen. It is not fancy but it has indoor hot and cold pools and an outdoor pool, right next to the ocean! Scenery is excellent. For the price I’m super happy

My husband and I are both foreigners living in Japan. This is our neighborhood onsen. The shower and onsen facility is comfortable and welcoming. They do not mind that I have tattoos, which we are thankful for.

The onsen (hot spring) in this dome offers a beautiful view on the nearby tatara bridge, for a low price. Be sure to bring your own towel, because the amenities are limited. The staff is also very friendly.
