Shinsetsu Onsen Hot Spring

On my way back from a business trip to Wakayama, I was looking for a place to freshen up, so I searched for and found this place. As I entered the separate entrances for men and women, I was greeted by a large counter and a lovely young lady. I exchanged my shoe locker key for the key to the changing room and paid 450 yen before entering. The changing room was incredibly well-maintained, so I stripped naked and headed to the bath. There were washing areas on the left and right, shallow and deep baths in the center, a jacuzzi at the back left, and a cold bath in a wooden tub near the entrance. First, I cleansed myself and then stepped into the tub. The water here was quite warm! I think it was over 43°C. But it was gentle on the skin and gradually warmed my body. The deeper bath and jacuzzi were a little warmer (only 41-42°C), so if it got too much, I moved over there to enjoy the hot water. Then I went to the cold bath. This water bath is not too cold, but just the right temperature, and it really warms the body. From here, we enjoyed a leisurely alternating bath for about an hour, and had a wonderful time. We stayed from 3:30pm to around 5pm, and there were about seven other people in the bath, each coming and going. Everyone was local, so the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. I hope this kind of culture continues to exist. If I visit Anchu Mosokusan again, I'll stop by on my way home. Thank you for the wonderful bath!

I think it's around 43°C. It's pretty hot, so you can't stay in for long, but it warms you up quickly, and I think there's a lot to enjoy here. I don't know what the criteria are, but sometimes they give you a 30 yen discount coupon for your next visit, so it's one of my favorite places where you can get a real Showa-era feel.

There was no sign indicating whether it was the men's or women's bath, so I gingerly opened the door. There was a ticket counter behind the door. It was an old-fashioned public bathhouse. The woman at the front desk (maybe the proprietress?) was very friendly and even gave me a discount coupon for my next visit. However, the water temperature was a little too hot. Other people were also feeling hot, and when I got out of the bath and looked at my thighs and legs, they were red and slightly burned (lol). But the service was good! If they could have lowered the temperature a little, I'd have no complaints.

First of all, the temperature of the hot spring here is quite high. Please be careful. However, I like hot springs, so I went with the review. The hostess was kind, the price was reasonable at 450 yen per person, and you also received a discount coupon for a total of 60 yen. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are available for purchase, but at 50 yen each, it's not a big deal. Also, the mascot cat is cute (important).
