The private onsen available at Solaniwa is really what I need to enjoy onsen. My preference for private onsen is for a very different reasons: I just want some alone time while relaxing in the onsen, and I'm not comfortable soaking in the same body of water as others. Before going into the private onsen, I get to roam around the onsen. This place is like a mini village, where there are patrons, all dressed in yutaka, roaming around the massive space with gardens, restaurants, cafes, shops and instagram-worthy spots. It really feels immersive, and the garden is so beautiful. I love it. The private onsen is gorgeous, with a mini zen garden right beside the onsen. Looking at the beautifully crafted lush greenery while soaking in the hot mineral rich water is one good enjoyment in life. And I can add cold water to adjust the temperature so that it is manageable for me. The private room for the onsen is so well-equipped. Television, coffee table, woven chairs are available to rest and relax. There’s also shower room with cleanser, shampoo and conditioner provided. The sink area has facial care products for my use. This is so thoughtful. The private onsen is definitely a must-try.
We had an amazing experience at Solaniwa Onsen Osaka Bay. From the moment we entered, everything was well organized and beautifully designed. The atmosphere truly feels like stepping into a traditional Japanese village. The onsen facilities were very clean and well maintained, and there were many different types of baths to enjoy, both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor onsen area was especially relaxing, with a peaceful garden view that helped us forget the stress of daily life. One of the best points is that Solaniwa Onsen is very foreigner-friendly. The staff were polite and helpful, and the instructions were easy to understand even for non-Japanese speakers. The yukata experience was also fun, with many designs to choose from. We visited as a family, and it was comfortable and enjoyable for both adults and children. The resting areas were spacious, and the food options were delicious with reasonable prices. Overall, Solaniwa Onsen offers a perfect mix of traditional Japanese culture and modern comfort. We were very satisfied with our visit and would highly recommend it to families, couples, and tourists visiting Osaka. We would love to visit again!
This place is really an experience! The sauna add on is worth it - there are 5 saunas that are all distinct and worth doing. In the bath area, folks go without a bathing suit - in the nude. The locker situation is a bit confusing for tourists visiting for the first time, but just go with the flow and it will all make sense in the end. First you will use a shoe locker. Then you pay for the package you would like at the counter. Then the change room will also have lockers for your clothes. You can bring your cell phone and what ever else you want to the baths area change room on the 5th floor. There is another locker there for your items. You may want to use your phone in the outdoor garden area for photos, so having it at the bath lockers is convenient as the gardens are accessed on the 5th floor beside the baths. There is a restaurant and arcade inside the complex. I’ve never seen anything quite like this ❤️😂 - worth setting aside 3-4 hrs
A wonderful onsen experience that’s especially suitable for families. The facilities are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for a truly relaxing visit. Remember to arrive slightly earlier than your appointment time, to give yourself some time to change into yukata before entering the onsen. For those who are more conscious and prefer not to use the public baths, private baths can be booked in advance — a great option that adds comfort and peace of mind. One useful tip: all food and drink purchases are charged through the wrist tag, so remember to keep it with you at all times (and don’t confuse it with the shoe locker key tag!). Located at Osaka Bay Tower and easily accessible by subway, the onsen is very convenient to get to. Overall, a soothing and enjoyable experience — highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka and looking to unwind.
I had a really enjoyable experience at Solaniwa Onsen. When I first entered, I could choose a yukata. The first one I picked had a small tear, but it wasn’t a big problem—I returned it easily and exchanged it for another one without any trouble. My favorite part was the sauna area, which costs an extra 1,100 yen and allows free entry and exit, featuring six different sauna rooms with various temperatures and styles. There is also a free recliner chairs and book area with a large collection of manga, and it was so quiet and comfortable that I even took a short nap. 😹 Overall, it’s a relaxing and well-organized place that I would definitely visit again.
