My family came to visit from Oita, and after dinner, we went to Honoka no Yu Kaeda branch for the first time. We had a reservation for 9 PM on a weekday, but there were more customers than I expected, so I'm glad I made a reservation! Initially, I booked the 60-minute course, but a regular customer friend told me, "60 minutes isn't enough!", so I quickly changed to 90 minutes. It turned out to be a great decision! The open-air bath had a limited-time lemon water bath 🍋, which was fantastic! Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. Women should bring their own makeup remover and face wash. At the reception, I was given a 90-minute timer along with a hairdryer, and then it was time for a bath! My mother, cousin, and I booked three rooms and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The water was incredibly smooth, and my skin felt silky smooth the next day! They also have multi-visit passes, and the price is the same even during peak season! I forgot to buy one, but a friend told me about it after I posted a story on Instagram. I'll definitely get a multi-visit pass next time! I'd also like to visit the Ibi branch next time~♨️ This time I chose the "Semi-Premium Room" for 90 minutes. Apparently there are three types: Standard, Semi-Premium, and Premium, and I was happy that it felt a little special♨️ I bought a drink at Starbucks before going and brought it in, which was also a perfect combination☕♨️ I was completely refreshed after the indoor bath♨️ and the open-air bath (lemon🍋 cold bath)^_^ On the way back, I drove from the Kaeda branch to Miyazaki city, and the drive after the bath was also very pleasant...♨️🚗 It was a night where I could relax until the very end☺️ I was able to relax and refresh myself✨

Great onsen with private rooms. Excellent for couples, families and people with tattoos. You can make a reservation online then when you get on-site, you get a ticket from the ticketing machine for the value of your use (the more you pay, the longer you can stay). I used the normal option, it includes a heated room where you can undress which includes a small table, cushions, a tv and a bathroom. After that, you move to a small room with a typical onsen shower and an inside bath which is large enough to have 2 seated in it very comfortably, I guess you could also go up to 4-5 cramped. Finally, you can go through another door that leads you to the outside private bath in a small garden. This one is a round tub that fits 2. You can adjust both baths temperature by adding hot or cold water. The staff will give you a timer that will ring when you need to leave the onsen (10 minutes before the end of your period). Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

I doubt anyone would come here by public transportation. There seem to be several Honoka no Yu locations, but I wonder if the water quality varies from location to location? It seems like it's just about possible to get there from Sozanji Temple or Sports Park on the Nichinan Line, but since it's a family bath, you'd normally go by car. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a family bath by myself. I stayed in a standard room for 2,200 yen per hour. It was a family bath, with a changing room and toilet, and both an indoor and outdoor bath. The hot water and cold water were controlled by dials, so you could adjust the temperature to your liking. The Kyushu 88 Hot Springs catalog describes it as a sulfur spring, but it didn't feel that way. It had a slimy feel, and I thought the water quality was good. It's probably a good deal for a family trip. It seems popular, so it might be wise to make a reservation.

This is a private hot spring bathing facility with slippery, free-flowing spring water. We recommend making a reservation online in advance. Even though it was a rainy weekday, the facility was fully booked and we had to wait a bit. The changing room is air-conditioned, which is great for relaxing after a bath on a hot day. There is also a table and TV in the room, so you can relax for as long as you like.

Great onsen with private rooms perfect for families with kids. The water feels silky smooth and you will definitely feel the effect on your hair and skin. You can adjust the water temperature by adjusting the cold/ hot water knob. There’s a television in the room too so you can relax after. There’s also vending machines outside if you need a cold drink.
