Spa Bōkido

Amazing for the experience of watching the waves crashing onto the shore while you soak in the onsen in a natural cave. I'm giving 4 stars because the price is steep (1500 yen) and the baths themselves are not super clean. The changing area is alright, but the bathing area itself has a lot of algae on the rocks and the weird smell of urine in the shower area. Still worth going just for the unique experience!!

I used it as a day trip hot spring. Although you can't take photos inside the bathroom, all the baths are open-air baths. There are three places to shelter from the rain and one outdoor bath right in front of the sea. It's a hot spring in a spectacular cave that you'll want to try at least once.

Cool onsen in a cave. 2500 yen fee. A bit hard to get to because you need to ride the ferry that looks like a turtle, or park in a far away lot and ride their bus. We parked in a random closer lot and walked in through some tunnels and the back entrance but that wasnt the norm.

Went here late November when there was stormy weather. The view was mesmerizing, and I ended up spending here almost 2 hours. Get the ticket at the tourist information that lets you enter 2 onsens in town for 1500 yen. This also allows you to skip the line at the reception!

Well, although the name is "the cave that makes to forget to return", I had to return because the last ship was 7:20pm. I loved it though, that you can hear the sound of waves crashing when submerging into hot water. There are staff who knows English so you would be fine.
