SPA & SAUNA オスパー

Visited on the weekend. Not as crowded as public baths in the Kanto region, but still reasonably busy. It's rare to find a facility of this type that also has a women's bathroom. There are two saunas: one with far-infrared and one with self-loyly. Both have a nice high temperature. Although it's far-infrared, it wasn't too dry. The self-loyly gets to an even better temperature with loyly. Both are good. It seems unusual to see a heat wave event being held despite it being far-infrared. They bring in heated stones (?). The atmosphere is fun and event-like, but compared to saunas that already have sauna stones, or places where the loyly and Aufguss are automatic but still quite intense, it's a little lacking. I guess it's more about enjoying the atmosphere. There are three types of cold baths, and I was happy that some were in the mid-10s, which I like. There is a semi-air bathing area, but it's not very large, so it tends to get filled up. The bathtub feels minimal. It's interesting that you can get a ticket that includes an onigiri (rice ball) for an additional 30 yen on top of the regular price (Osper Course), and the onigiri are delicious. It's open 24 hours, but the restaurant closes at 9 PM, which is a shame because I couldn't go later and have a meal and a drink after the sauna. I especially wanted to try the wide variety of drinks. I was happy to see a wide selection of merchandise, and I bought a sticker when I left, but it took more than five minutes to pay for it. If it gets crowded, it might take a little longer to leave and enter. Spa & Sauna with Overnight Stays "SPA & SAUNA Osper" I'd been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to check it out! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ A spa & sauna in Asahikawa with a carbonated spring, a hot spring, two cold baths, and two saunas. The Osper Course (1,380 yen) is a great deal, including a room wear, towel, and a coupon for one rice ball. 🥰 This place's specialty is rice balls made with Nanatsuboshi rice, and there's a huge variety to choose from. I tried one of the addictive rice balls with green onions and sesame oil, and it was fluffy, soft, and just the right amount of salty. The free detox water, while supplies last, is also a nice touch. (๑´ڡ`๑) You can relax in the Totonoi Manga Room, which features a nostalgic Famicom console and a wide selection of manga. You can also use the recliners and nap rooms if you wear the room wear. The nap room in particular is super comfortable, with folding beds and pillows and futons provided! (First come, first served) And it's even more appealing that you can get a great deal by adding the late-night fee (1,350 yen)! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ I went during the day on a weekday, so it was really quiet and comfortable. (*´ω｀*)

I think it's probably a good place. I stayed here for a night, and the price was reasonable. However, even though I made a reservation online, I had to write everything again at the front desk, including my name, work address, and phone number. It's a mystery. Also, it's a little far to go anywhere. So I tried to eat at the restaurant on the second floor, but my order never arrived. Actually, even though they make you write down your room number, they just say the name of the menu and bring it to you like, "For those who ordered curry," (even though they have a variety of curry), so if you get the menu wrong, it probably never arrives. They don't even seem to check to see if your order is complete. So I recommend sitting in front of the counter. By the way, the curry cost 1,000 yen. The taste was good, I think, but the meat was tough and the portion was small, so I wouldn't recommend it.

When buying the ¥1350 course at the ticket machine, be aware: if you enter between 23:00 and 05:00, your stay is limited to 3 hours. Even if you overstay by just a few minutes, they will charge you another ¥1350. This rule was only explained to me after I had already purchased the ticket, which felt very unfair. Also this was my second visit, and for some reason this rule didn’t apply nor got explained to me at my first visit, where I entered around 4 AM and stayed for more than 3 hours. So I was really surprised this time. On top of that, the staff was noticeably less friendly compared to other similar facilities I’ve visited in Japan.

I stayed there. Even though I paid for a room for two adults, there was only one futon in the room. I had no choice but to open the closet and lay it out myself, but it was stored in a mess and had lots of other people's hair and sweat stains on it. There were no sheets in the room, so I got some from the front desk. There was also a lot of hair and dirt on the floor that wasn't my own. Well, it was cheap.
