SPABLIC AKASAKA

This men only spa is featuring a 42 C hot pool, a 15 C cold pool, a dry and a wet sauna. A relaxation area with tatami is also present, which includes a restaurant. It is not big, but well located and modern. Price is 2200 yen for 3 hours, including a big and small towels. But I recommend taking the 2500yen package which add the rental of a yukata and a free drink (up to 550yen in value, otherwise you pay the difference). There are promotions on weekdays until 13h, and after midnight. Unsure if tattoos are allowed as I didn’t see any sign. As all onsen in Japan, it is done naked and using the small towel for more privacy. They also have capsules.

This is an absolutely magical place and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, organised and serene the place was. If you are someone who have many precautions about staying in hostels , staying at the SPABLIC will be just the place to help to dispel some of the fears about dorm rooms that you have cultivated. The hostel was extremely well kept and they provided a lot of toiletries as well as ensured that you have fresh towels and new sheets everyday. If you are looking for an unique chance to experience Japanese culture and make your trip a more social experience - I RECOMMEND STAYING AT SPABLIC AKASAKA!

Great location, affordable, clean, professional staff and you have access to the sauna. Loses one star as some guests can have a tendency to create noise during late hours, causing discomfort for those that might easily get awaken. Edit: second visit - again a great experience. My hats off to the employees who contribute towards a nice experience. I am adding a star as this option is now a must if you are male. You don't need the following if you are staying overnight: towel, sleeping suite, tooth brush, toothpaste, and cleaning products, shaving brush, as all such amenities are included.

Very nice and clean sauna / sento that isn't huge but does everything right. A dry sauna, a wet sauna, one hot water bath and another cold one. I stayed for about 90min after a particularly exhausting flight and felt reenergized. On the 3 hour ticket without access to the resting area, I felt like the veranda with deckchairs was a bit chilly. Staff was super friendly and attentive. I'm not a huge capsule fan but it is tempting to stay there if getting into Tokyo way before the usual 3pm check in time at regular hotels.

My stay at this traditional Japanese onsen with a capsule hotel was amazing. The serene atmosphere and warm hospitality stood out from the start. The onsen was the highlight, with impeccably maintained, mineral-rich hot spring baths that were incredibly relaxing. The capsule hotel was compact yet thoughtfully designed, offering essentials like a charging station and reading light. Shared facilities were spotless and well-stocked. Perfect for relaxation, cultural immersion, or a unique stay. Highly recommended!
