I wanted to visit places associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu, so I did some research. I especially wanted to visit Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and also enjoy a hot spring bath, so I searched for a nearby inn. This is the inn I found. It was quiet, had a courtyard, and offered beautiful views, allowing for a relaxing stay. In winter, Urijima Onsen, with its bare trees beginning to bud, felt powerful despite the cold. The bath had an open-air bath, where I could relax and warm up while enjoying the mountain view. The meals were plentiful, but delicious. The rice was cooked in a pot. The fire was lit immediately after the course meal began, and it was cooked perfectly by the time the course was finished. Each dish was small, but even so, I couldn't finish the latter half. It was delicious, but the overall quantity was too much, and I felt bad about not being able to eat it all. The waitress kindly offered to make rice balls with the leftover rice. I was very grateful. (This became my lunch the next day.) I was very satisfied with the meals. The next morning, the car's windshield was completely white. While I was taking pictures until the frost melted, the owner came out and took a picture of me. I was so happy about this thoughtful gesture. I was very satisfied with this quiet and peaceful inn, where I experienced such kindness from the people. I think it's a place that can be enjoyed in spring and autumn. Thank you for your hospitality.
○ Ryokan Atmosphere It's a truly relaxing place. With no buildings or convenience stores nearby, it's truly quiet, surrounded by nature, with only the pleasant sound of the flowing river to be heard. It's sure to be a great way to detox from the hectic modern lifestyle! It's a relaxing and calming place. 😌 ○ Room The room was a Japanese-style room, very spacious and open, and comfortable. It was also great to be able to see the courtyard from the window. ♪ It was beautifully lit up at night! ○ Food The course meal was excellent! From seafood dishes to creative cuisine, everything looked and tasted great, and I was very satisfied! The portions were also quite generous. 😂 Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and absolutely stunning! ○ Bath The fact that it was available for private use was fantastic! It was incredibly relaxing! You could hear the flowing river and spend an elegant time. It was clean, and the open-air bath was a great addition! It felt great. ♪
I called in advance and made a reservation as they said they could accommodate my allergies. However, when I arrived on the day, it was closed. When I inquired, I was told that they had sent me an email canceling my reservation, saying that they couldn't accommodate my allergies due to the large number of options. However, due to a mistake on the part of the inn, the email address was incorrect and never received. They canceled my reservation without my permission or reply. They also didn't seem to show much remorse. They told me that if I have so many allergies, other places wouldn't be able to accommodate me either. However, other inns have always been able to accommodate me when I've stayed there. I don't think this is a suitable accommodation for people with food allergies.
This was our first overnight stay with our daughter, who will soon be two years old. We were worried that she might run around or cry at night and cause a nuisance, so we thought it would be okay to limit it to two groups per day, but on the day we arrived there were no other guests, so we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed ourselves without any worries. We were also able to have the baths privately reserved for each group, so we were able to relax as a family, and the meal was plentiful, so we were very satisfied. The staff were also very kind and helpful, and we were able to tell us about a nearby spot where we could see fireflies. If we have the opportunity to visit the area again, we would definitely like to stay here again.
We stayed there on November 14th for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere of the inn was wonderful, and the room was incredibly clean. The meals were so plentiful that we wondered if we could finish them all! It was perfect for us, as we love to eat. We had a little bit of the kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) left over, but the proprietress kindly made it into rice balls and brought them to our room. We were also able to have the bath all to ourselves and enjoyed a relaxing soak. The service from the owner, proprietress, and waitresses was truly excellent; we have absolutely no complaints. We will definitely go again!
