♨️Barely 3 Stars♨️ Shimane Hot Spring Tour 🚙💨 In Search of Hinaizumi Hot Spring Free-flowing hot spring water is best!! I came here with the mindset of "at worst, it's free-flowing!" Susa Onsen appeared quietly in the mountains. There was only one car in the parking lot. I paid the 100 yen entrance fee at the reception and went to the bathhouse. The changing room was simple, just baskets—simple and good! ⤴️ I checked the water quality chart. The source water temperature is 17℃, and it's heated... it's a circulating system ⤵️⤵️ Oh no, it's recycled hot spring water! 💦 Since I had the bathhouse all to myself, I started observing slowly. Indeed, heated hot spring water was coming out of the bath walls... there was a faint chlorine smell, typical of recycled hot springs... The faucet had the words "hot spring water" on it, so I thought, "This must be the source water!" and turned it on full blast, filling the bathtub—the chlorine smell weakened a little. Although I was a little disappointed after traveling a long distance to visit this hot spring, I gave it 3 stars because they're doing a good job with a 100 yen entrance fee, and it's a local hot spring that's a place of relaxation. ⭐︎Sodium-sulfate-chloride cold spring ⭐︎Entrance fee: 100 yen

Amazing!! This luxurious hot spring is amazing, so if you're a fan of open-air baths, this might not be for you... If you love a more rustic feel, this is a must-visit!! There's no open-air bath, just a small tub, but that's what makes it great!! Locals come over with buckets. The water quality isn't particularly amazing, but just average, but still... It's only 100 yen!! 100 yen!!! Yunotsu the day before was great, but this place deserves a special recognition!! What's with the reception and entrance? It looks like a town hall reception, and you might wonder, "Can you really bathe here?" But be brave and go in, lol A retro world awaits!! By the way, after your bath, they leave out some cold tea and teacups for you to enjoy. That's also really nice♫

This small hot spring, run by Izumo City, has excellent water quality and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth! It seems to be frequented by local residents, but it's a hidden gem of a hot spring that's also popular with tourists! The receptionist is very friendly, and if the bath is full, they'll even offer to relax in the waiting area with a cup of tea, which is a nice touch! Best of all, the bathing fee is only 100 yen for adults ☺️. Shampoo, body soap, and bar soap are provided. There's also a rest area. They sell steamed buns and pies individually at a low price. It's a public facility in Izumo City. Even the prices in the vending machines outside are from 10 years ago. Reception closes at 3:30 PM and the facility closes at 4:00 PM. I bathed here and then cooled off in the Yakumo Wind Cave, and it felt absolutely wonderful ☺️.

I stopped by on my way to Susa Shrine. It's about a 5-minute walk from the shrine's parking lot. You can bathe for just 100 yen. The facilities are minimal, but the water temperature is just right. The surrounding area is peaceful and rural, so you can bathe in peace and quiet. Thanks to its use by mostly locals, we had the bath all to ourselves at noon on Sunday. It was a great place to take a break during a ride!
