Used as a day spa A hot spring fed directly from the source. Day-trip bathing is available. It seems there are also private baths. This was my first visit. The bath is small, about twice the size of a home bath, and although there are about six washing areas, it's impossible to wash next to each other. It can only fit three or four people at most. Shampoo and body soap are provided. The only hair dryer available is at the reception desk at the entrance. When I first entered, a man and a woman were drying their hair next to the reception desk. I thought they might be staff members, but it turns out that's the only place they have hair dryers... I was very surprised. 💧 But the water is excellent. Metasilicon, which is rare around here. The cloudy brown water was very nice. This is probably for overnight guests! The campground next to the lake across the street is large, so it might be good for campers. However, I don't recommend it in the winter. The parking lot is attached to the campground entrance and is spacious. Thank you for visiting.

Apparently they only accept four groups per day, but luckily, my husband and I had it all to ourselves. Because of that, I didn't have any issues with the small bathroom or the toilet, despite the reviews saying it was small. There were leaves floating in the open-air bath, but that's normal for open-air baths, so it didn't bother me (although it depends on the season). The indoor bath was big enough for three people. I didn't mind the smell of iron that people wrote about online. For dinner, we had Omi beef teppanyaki. It was very delicious. The only disappointing thing was that there wasn't a single dish on the menu to go with the alcohol, and since my family likes to eat while drinking, we only had two drinks. I would have liked at least some cold tofu or edamame... That was the only disappointing thing.

It's inconvenient that there's no toilet in the guest room. The carpet in the hallway smelled a bit, perhaps because the toilet was in the hallway. There were no particular services, and the hotel is located across the road from the lake. There's a lot of traffic, so it's noisy. The hot spring is Metakei Onsen, which has a lot of iron and a bit of an iron smell, but it didn't bother me. Arima Onsen's Kin no Yu smells worse. After getting out, my skin felt smooth and warm, as you'd expect from a hot spring. The meal was the Omi beef shabu-shabu course. The meat was cut quite thickly, so it was satisfying to eat. The meat sushi was seared, but unfortunately, the meat was tough and salty. The smoked Sakura trout and sashimi were delicious and odorless.

As someone said, I think opinions will differ. The day trip plan with a room that includes accommodation and meals is great for people who prefer fewer people, people who like Showa retro atmosphere and nature, and people who want to have the hot spring to themselves and use it whenever they want. It's not suitable for people who are just using it for the day and are looking for a regular day trip hot spring or a clean facility with no bugs. Personally, there were no other guests staying there, so it was very comfortable. Being able to have the hot spring to yourself and use it whenever you wanted all night was excellent value for money.

I visited for a day trip to enjoy the hot springs and a meal (shabu-shabu). The staff were all kind and friendly, and the shabu-shabu meat was thick and many times more delicious than I expected. I was very impressed and satisfied! I used the private open-air bath, and the water was a pleasant milky white and the temperature was just right. The showers in the open-air bath only had cold water, so I was a little confused about how to wash my hair.💦 The room had a calming atmosphere, and you could stay for three hours, so you could relax. It was a bit of a luxurious experience, but I would definitely use it again. Thank you!
