Taketori Onsen Akarinoyu

Visited Taketori Onsen "Akari no Yu" at 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026. This new hot spring opened in 2019 and is a day spa featuring beautiful, luxurious hot spring facilities and a bedrock bath. At night, the bamboo grove outside is lit up in various colors, creating a wonderful atmosphere. This time, we only used the hot spring area. Open from 9:30 AM (6:00 AM on Sundays and holidays) to 12:30 AM, with registration closing 30 minutes before closing. The fee is 920 yen for adults (970 yen on weekends and holidays), and payment can be made by cash or credit card. The bedrock bath is an additional charge. Shoe lockers and changing lockers are free, and valuables lockers have a combination lock. The shoe locker key is a wristband with a tag attached, and all payments within the facility are made together at the end of the day using a fully automated post-payment system. Amenities include body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. The soap is an original brand, and there are six Tescom Nobby hair dryers. Other amenities include a Tanita scale and water cooler, an Omron blood pressure monitor, and about four Panasonic massage machines. The indoor bath area has 4+5+6x2+7 mixer faucets, two shower booths, silk bath (fine bubble bath), replacement bath (hinoki bath today), jetted reclining bath for four people, a cold bath (17°C), a dry sauna (six-tiered stone sauna for approximately 25 people, auto-louver every 30 minutes with TV), and outdoors, there is Takekan bath (open-air hot spring bath with TV), carbonated bath (with TV), three pot kettle baths (hot spring pot bath), reclining bath for four people, a steam sauna (salt sauna for approximately 12 people with TV), an open-air bathing area with numerous reclining chairs, and a tatami-floored area. According to the posted hot spring analysis report from 2018, the spring discharge is 40 liters, the spring temperature is 32.5°C, the pH is 8.6, and the dissolved oxygen content is 2483mg. The spring quality is a hypotonic, alkaline, low-temperature sodium chloride spring (commonly known as a salt spring). It appears to be a cloudy gray with a slight salty taste and an oily mineral odor, but in reality it is a pale, almost colorless, transparent, tasteless, odorless, slightly thick "hot spring." It seems to be a popular facility, and when I visited, the parking lot was nearly full and quite crowded, although not to the point of being overflowing with people. The spring quality is nothing particularly noteworthy, but it is a great place to relax and unwind.

I visited first thing in the morning on a weekday. There were a lot of older customers, both men and women, who seemed to be regulars. However, the bath wasn't too crowded, and the facility is still new, so it was clean and comfortable. The changing rooms were also clean, with cleaning staff constantly on duty. The carbonated bath was lukewarm and comfortable. The salt steam sauna wasn't crowded, so I was able to use it spaciously. There are TVs in the steam sauna, open-air bath, and carbonated bath, so you can relax even if you're alone. The relaxation room was also empty first thing in the morning, but it was still noisy when a pair of older women showed up. Don't expect any manga. The massage machines alone are worth the additional 450 yen, but there are people of all ages and genders who don't follow the 30-minute limit... The relaxation wear is not stretchy, so it's not relaxing, and it looks like prison uniforms and is unfashionable. For food, my companion ordered four servings of the all-you-can-eat weekday soba noodles for 1,100 yen. Apparently it's delicious, a good deal, and highly recommended. The Yamakake Soba I ordered was also delicious. Although, it would have been even better if it was 100% buckwheat soba... It's rare to find a restaurant in a place like this that offers such good value for money and such good food. After lunch, I went to the bath again...but that was a mistake. Families with small children and groups of elderly people were taking over the bath and making a lot of noise. They were taking over the handrails of the open-air bath, so you couldn't get in there. I wonder if the arcade on the second floor was really necessary. Overall, I was satisfied. I'd like to visit again.

I used it on New Year's Eve from just after 4 PM to around 8 PM. I wasn't sure if I should mention this at the beginning, but... It would be very helpful if they mentioned on their website that children who normally wear diapers are bathed in a baby bath. While I think it wouldn't be a problem for people with infants or those without, if someone wets their baby, I personally don't think it's suitable for young children. Pros It's clean I enjoyed the various hot springs. It's busy, but the turnover is fast, so you can take it easy every now and then. They hold various events. The sauna is clean. Cons There was a long line near the women's hair dryers, so I couldn't use them. The lockers were too small for the users. I couldn't see the sauna clock at all. The open-air bath offered almost no view of the outside. I wish I could see the bamboo forest a little better. If I have the chance again, I'd like to try it during a less busy time. I wasn't able to use the bedrock bath this time.

Taketori Onsen Akari no Yu A shuttle bus is available from the station. It's also just a short walk from the local bus stop. This newly designed hot spring gets extremely busy on weekends. The hot spring's popular rock sauna is available, and there are baths with various temperatures. The source water temperature is a relatively low 32 degrees. The presence of aquariums scattered throughout the facility was also impressive.

This is all brand new good hot spa in Yawata city. this spa is very comfortable and reasonable. u need to pay the charge when u go out there.
