Taki Ichijiku Hot Spring

I saw a sign at the Kirara Taki Roadside Station that said, "You can see the Sea of Japan from the open-air bath," so I headed to Taki Ichijiku Onsen, expecting a beautiful view. The bath fee is paid at the ticket machine, but towels can be purchased at the reception. The bath has one regular bath and one herbal bath. The herbal bath is set to 39.5°C in winter, so you can stay in it for a long time. Although it's an open-air bath, you can indeed see the Sea of Japan. However, you can only see it in the distance while standing. Once you're in the bath, you can't see it at all. While the sign was correct, I felt it could be misleading. While the view wasn't enjoyable, the hot spring itself was neither too hot nor too lukewarm—just the right temperature. The milk I had after my bath was also very delicious.
I took a bath to relieve my travel fatigue. The timing was good, so there weren't many other guests. There was one open-air bath, one indoor bath, and one medicinal bath (fig bath). The water was slightly lukewarm, allowing for a long, relaxing soak. The water was clean enough that I didn't notice any dirt. There were three bees flying around in the open-air bath (a little scary). The free rest area was quite spacious, allowing for a comfortable nap. Points of concern: The chlorine smell was strong, perhaps due to concerns about Legionella bacteria. In the medicinal bath, the chlorine smell overpowered the fig leaf scent. The chlorine smell lingered slightly even after getting out of the bath. Overall, it wasn't bad; I thought it was quite good.
I used it for the first time on October 10, 2017 (*´ー`*) This is a hot spring facility in Taki-cho, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture❗ I knew about this facility, but I always ended up taking a bath in Tottori, so I never got around to using it😅 This time, for our anniversary trip, I came down from Tottori with a couple of friends on a trip to Sanin, and we were planning to visit the shrine the next day, so I used it to purify myself ( *´艸`) I think the price is normal for this type of facility (^o^;) but I was a little concerned about the strong chlorine smell (>Д<;) I guess that's because they pay a lot of attention to hygiene (^o^;) but when I thought of it as just washing away sweat and relieving fatigue, I didn't mind it (*´ー`*)
This is a hot spring located close to the highway exit. It's a popular local hot spring, frequented by families and groups of elderly people. The bathhouse is like a large public bath. There are no JAF member discounts, but they gave me an ice cream discount coupon. The open-air bath has a nice atmosphere and is recommended for a relaxing soak. The indoor baths include a fig herbal bath at a temperature perfect for a long soak, while the regular baths are around 42°C. Rinse-in shampoo and body soap are provided, making it easy to enjoy a day trip to the hot springs. Towels are also available for purchase. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those who are particularly sensitive to chlorine.
¥700 for adults✨ Various discounts are available✨ I enjoyed the open-air rock bath while looking out at the garden. 💓 After the bath, there was a spacious tatami-mat rest area and complimentary tea. 💤 Around 7 PM, a bakery at a nearby roadside station put out half-price items for sale. 🥐 The food was delicious. ♡ The hot springs were great, and the kind and warm staff were so welcoming. ♨️Thank you very much. ☺️
