Takinoyu center Yumefusen

This information is from a visit to "Takinoyu Yumekaze-sen" on March 18, 2025. It's an unmanned hot spring facility located at Takinoyu Onsen, the furthest of the three hot springs ("Ponyu," "Onneyu," and "Takinoyu") lined up along Route 39 in Rubeshibe Town. While generally open 24 hours, a sign indicated cleaning from 9 AM to 12 PM on Mondays and Fridays. It appears to be managed by "Hotel Tsutsuji-so" at Onneyu Onsen. The price has increased to 500 yen for adults, and payment is cash only at the ticket machine at the entrance. Shoe lockers are free and feature the nostalgic wooden pine and bamboo locks. There are no lockers in the changing room, but free valuables lockers are available in the hallway. Amenities include body soap and shampoo with conditioner, and a hairdryer is provided in the rest area. The bathing area is indoors only, with six faucets and two indoor baths (main and secondary). Hot spring water is supplied to both the baths and the faucets. At the time of my visit, the water temperature in the baths felt almost the same. The spring water is a simple, hypotonic, alkaline, high-temperature spring, similar in nature to Ponyu and Onneyu, and is characterized by a similar thick, slippery texture. The water temperature is a relatively high 43.4℃, and the pH is 9.6, making it a highly alkaline, skin-beautifying spring. Looking at the analysis report, neither bicarbonate nor metasilicic acid levels meet the standard values, which is interesting considering the strong viscosity. The facility includes a relaxation area with massage chairs and vending machines. According to their website, they do offer accommodation services, but I think the biggest appeal is that you can use it anytime, regardless of the time of day.

2025-04-26 Dreaming of getting a refill from Tulip Bath. On weekdays, there's probably no one there after 11 PM, but maybe because it was Saturday, quite a few people came in. I thought there would only be one large bathtub, but there was also a tiny one like a half-body bath. Three out of six faucets in the wash area were broken. Even though you have to adjust the faucet yourself to get the hot water, there were places where there were no shut-off levers, so I had to adjust two faucets every time. Well, I guess they can stay open 24 hours a day because they don't have a boiler and they supply water from the hot spring water directly through the faucet. As expected, it's not a very safe place to be at night when it's completely unmanned.

Bathed on February 8, 2026 The Rubeshibe area is one of Hokkaido's most difficult places to visit, so I decided to drop by after visiting Tsurutsuru Onsen. While it's only about a three-minute drive from Tsurutsuru Onsen, the parking lot here is completely dark and unlit. I was curious to see what the wild animals were like in the summer, as this facility is unmanned 24 hours a day. The reviews were all good, so I decided to give it a try. There were a few culture shocks, but the hot water itself felt almost identical to Tsurutsuru Onsen. However, the bathroom and other areas lacked cleanliness. I guess it's fine if everyone agrees... I understand that the hot water is good, but for me, it's not everything, so I'm giving it two stars.

The water is alkaline simple hot spring, a hypotonic alkaline hot spring. There are two bathtubs. There is a shower, but only hot spring water is available. The cold water faucet does not turn, but the hot water is sufficient and not too hot, just right. Body soap and shampoo are provided. The bathing fee is 500 yen. This is a beauty bath. Hair dryers are also available.

This hot spring offers day-use bathing even in the early morning and late at night. It seems to be closed for cleaning from 8 AM to 12 PM. The facilities aren't new, but they're kept very clean. The water is colorless, transparent, and has a smooth, viscous texture. You can see a few mineral deposits floating in it. I think it's rare to find such a colorless, transparent, and viscous hot spring in Hokkaido. It felt even more viscous than Shiobetsu Tsurutsuru. The shower water is also viscous. Be careful not to slip, as the floor is also viscous due to the overflow. There are three hair dryers near the rest area. There's also a footbath outside.
