Teine Onsen Honoka

1200 yen per person with a locker system. You lock your shoes in a locker at the entrance, give the keys to reception and they give you a hand bracelet with a key. You get a choice of complimentary towel set or cloths to wear after the onsen. You find your locker according to the number on your bracelet. Large number of pools with varying temporaries temperatures including a 15 degrees pool. Three single pools of red, pink and black mineral waters. Two outside pools and they even have a large screen TV there. Outside the onsen and part of the entrance price is a hot stone bed, sleeping rooms, comic TV room with large lounge chairs. Also a restaurant where food is paid by your bracelet. The soba noodles with tempura was OK only. The noodles were a bit soft but the dipping sauce was well balanced in flavour but I preferred more wasabi. The prawns were crispy and juicy. Eggplant was OK, vegetables were slightly oily but better with dipping sauce. The buta don didn't look as good as the photo but had a nice Smokey flavour. Update 0325 Price increased to 1500 yen just for entry on weekends and public holidays. 1800 yen to include towel set.

Visited this onsen on a Wednesday afternoon in July 2025. The facility felt old/aged. From the locker room to the resting area, several of the equipment was either outdated or simply non-functional. For example: blood pressure measurer, men's locker, massage chairs, and "French bed." Relative to other onsets that I have visited in the last 12 months, this facility felt old/aged. The baths itself were fine. There was a variety of hot, cold, with "milk" or just clear water baths. There was a sauna and a steam room filled with medicinal tree oil. Nothing extraordinary, just more than what I could get from the hotel public baths. The location itself was ok. It's about 15 mins by car from the Sapporo station. If taking a train then it would be longer. Overall, I would visit this onsen again if I was traveling back from Otaru or Niseko. Otherwise, the marginal effort to go outside of the city to visit this onsen is questionable.

Probably the best onsen+ganbanyoku in Sapporo. The resort was huge and not overcrowded. Had 5 ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) room of various themes. At the onsen area, there were numerous pools of different temperatures and styles, both indoors and outdoors. There were sauna and steam rooms as well. One should make good use of the free shuttle bus both to and from the resort. If compared to its sibling Aya Onsen also in Sapporo, it won hands down. You could even spend the night there (from 1-9 a.m.) for an extra ¥2250! That's much cheaper than a hotel room.

Seems like I missed taking more of photos due to I was exhausted from journey. Here is the one of onsens nearby the city, 15-20 mins by walking from subway station. Most of the visitors is local and it’s not so crowded on the day I were there. The best of visiting here is outdoor onsen baths. While your body is dipping into the hot water and your face is floating in the freezing air with -12•c, it is very relaxing.

Good onsen with many different types of pool. Lots of space and food is good. You can sleep overnight and enjoy a hot bath in the morning. With only a bit over 1000yen, you get a lot from what you pay for. Definitely worth to spend couple hours here. Only thing is the building is getting older, locker looks old.
