A hands-on learning session about Tateyama Sabo (erosion control). After having lunch with our packed bento boxes, the afternoon session began. We entered a tunnel where disused railway tracks continued. Emerging from the dimly lit tunnel, which was clearly for construction purposes, we arrived at Tenkai-no-Yu hot spring. This is a welfare facility for those involved in erosion control, and unfortunately, visitors are not allowed inside. It's an open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water. On clear nights, the sky is filled with stars, and you can relax and soak beneath them. It's a truly enviable view, enjoyed only by those who work hard on the construction. The group of visitors enjoyed a short soak in the footbath located before the men's bath. (Visited September 2016: Reposted due to previous comment being deleted)

Great location!
