天然温泉 あたかの湯

For a facility of this size, having no chlorine and no recirculation is amazing! Furthermore, there's no added water or heating! It's an overflow-style free-flowing system. The water has a faint sulfurous smell mixed with a metallic smell and the unique scent of chloride springs. The bathing sensation is soft, and you feel your body becoming lighter. After bathing, your skin feels moist and smooth. This is why strong saline springs are so irresistible. While most hot springs called "beauty springs" or "skin-beautifying springs" are usually simple springs or alkaline simple springs, I would say that chloride springs are the true beauty springs! They coat the skin, so they heal wounds and make it smooth and silky. In addition, this bath contains metasilicic acid, making it especially recommended for women who want to polish their skin! It would also be great as a finishing bath after enjoying the surrounding hot springs.
Visited on September 5, 2025. The bathroom is located on the third floor of Hotel Route Inn, near Komatsu Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway, so it's easily accessible. It appears to be a bathroom primarily for guests staying at the hotel. While it's not an open-air bath, the glass walls offer a nice view. The water is a sodium chloride spring. It has a distinctive cloudiness that makes it feel like a natural hot spring. The water is a bit warm, so you'll feel warm and cozy even after bathing. The bathing fee is a reasonable 550 yen. It's a good idea to bring your own towel. There's nothing particularly bad about it, but it doesn't have the characteristics of a super sento, so I gave it three stars.
I used it for a day trip to the hot springs on a Sunday. First of all, there was no sign or banner indicating Atakanoyu on the hotel grounds, so I entered the hotel, which had a rather nice appearance. But don't worry, you can use the hot springs as a normal day trip. There was a damp smell from the small room between the bath area, but once you got in the bath it wasn't particularly noticeable. The free-flowing water was a golden-coloured hot spring with a good amount of water, so I was very satisfied. There was nothing resembling a jacuzzi left. There were not many people there, so I was very satisfied.
I visited just after 11am on a weekday. After checking in at Hotel Route Inn, I headed to the third floor. There was a basket in the changing room, but I put my valuables in a locked locker. When I opened the bathroom door, the bathtub was filled with water flowing straight from the source. This is it, this is what I was looking for...😁 The moist water made me gasp in surprise. It felt great. The abundant flow of water flowing straight from the source was the best👍
JAF members received a ¥100 discount. The light green, cloudy water is always overflowing from the bathtub, straight from the source. DHC body soap, shampoo, and conditioner were available at the wash area. It's a great hot spring, with a sulfurous, metallic, or perhaps even salty smell. Even after returning home, I can still smell the hot spring. 🙆 Please note that the bath closes at 5 PM on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. ♥
