I was surprised. It's located in a gorgeous building that's unusual for Iwata (sorry). I arrived expecting it to be just another super sento, but I never expected to find such a stylish establishment. My T-shirt, shorts, and sandals seemed completely against the dress code, so I was about to turn back, but a female staff member showed me around. I see, hotel facilities are open from 10am to 4pm, so they're only open during times when there are generally few guests. A dark entrance to a secluded, luxurious space. The stylish black theme is stylish, but you can't see it without glasses. The hot spring is a coffee-colored moor spring. There is a step in the tub, but I can't see it, so I enter gingerly. The warm, slimy water is just what you'd expect from a hot spring, and it's very comfortable. It was a midsummer weekday afternoon, so I was the only other customer, so I was able to relax and enjoy myself. There were three resort chairs next to the open-air bath, and the parts exposed to direct sunlight got extremely hot when I lay down on them. They weren't the usual white plastic ones, but cool black foam cushions. There's an extension hose behind it for watering the plants, and it says to use it to spray the chair after use. Oh, right, so that's how you cool it down. There's quite a lot to choose from. Unfortunately, you can see the high-voltage power lines right next to it from the open-air bath. The drainage in the washing area was poor, so the soap never seemed to wash away (other areas were fine). While aiming to be a luxury resort, there are a few disappointing points. However, towels and bath towels are provided, the hot water is good, and 1,800 yen is actually quite cheap. I visited because I was receiving shareholder benefits from Hamamatsu, so I'd like to return if I'm in the area again.

I visited this hotel for a day trip to the hot springs. I walked up the hill and was impressed by the beautiful architecture. My first impression was, "Is this really a hot spring?" The building has a sophisticated, modern feel. The interior has a stylish atmosphere, creating a completely different atmosphere from traditional hot springs. Lunch is available in both Japanese and Western styles, but it was fully booked that day, and only a private room (apparently a table for about eight people) was available, so unfortunately I couldn't eat. There are two hot springs: Daichi and Sora, and I chose Sora this time. There are indoor, cold, and open-air baths. The indoor and open-air baths looked pitch black from the outside, but the water was actually brown. It seemed to be a moor spring, and the water was smooth, leaving my skin feeling slightly lukewarm. The temperature was just right. My skin felt incredibly smooth. I also enjoyed a relaxing soak, and I felt much better afterward. The open-air bath in Sora is dome-shaped, allowing you to see the sky from the tub, and I imagine the stars would be beautiful at night. The wind was very strong on the day, so when I tried to rest after the open-air bath and sauna, it was really cold (lol). The sauna was about 80°C, so I felt like I could stay in it for a long time. Since it's new, the loyly was very pleasant, and inhaling the steam felt great. The hair dryers provided were made by Panasonic, so I felt there were no flaws. It was a day that made me want to stay overnight and enjoy a meal there.

It was great. The space was quiet and calming, with the indoor baths being more beautiful for their shadows than for their scenery or views. (On the day I visited, "Daichi" was the women's bath.) The washing area was spacious and well-walled, allowing for plenty of relaxation. When I arrived at 11 AM on a Sunday, there was hardly anyone there, so it was all to myself. It was a great way to escape from everyday life and refresh myself. There are one open-air bath, one indoor bath, one cold bath, and a sauna. Bath towels and face towels are provided upon entry, and shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial soap, cleanser, lotion, milky lotion, T-shaped razors, disposable hairbrushes, cotton balls and cotton swabs, disposable hairbands, a hair dryer, and a water cooler are also available. The price of 1,800 yen was just right. Not too cheap, not too expensive, and easy to use. Also, there was zero reception in the changing rooms. I think they did that on purpose. I only realized I had a missed call once I left the changing room. Being able to get away from my smartphone might actually be a good thing. On the way back, I enjoyed tea at the hotel cafe. There was a bed? or chair? next to the open-air bath where you could enjoy the fresh air, which was very comfortable, but since the sun was shining brightly, it would have been great if there was a parasol! Please!

Before going, I thought 1,800 yen was a bit expensive for a day trip to the hot springs, but once I got there, it actually felt cheap. First of all, the atmosphere of the hotel (GREENITY IWATA), surrounded by greenery, is truly wonderful. Even just a day trip, you can fully experience the hotel's concept, and as it's a new hotel, the architecture and interior design are very modern and sophisticated. I think the word "greenity" is a coined word, and the greenery and ornamental plants in the open-air hot springs, as well as the hotel as a whole, are all tastefully and carefully maintained to allow you to enjoy the lush greenery regardless of the season, which is a great reflection of the hotel's concept. The water is a viscous, light-black moor spring. When you scoop it up with your hand, it only looks slightly black, but in the tub you can't see the bottom, and the color harmonizes with the overall design of the bathroom, creating a truly luxurious atmosphere. The spacious sauna and stylishly designed open-air bath are also excellent. In addition, lotion and milky lotion are provided, and bath and face towels are complimentary. It's quite a luxury to be able to enjoy the rare moor springs that spring up in this area and a Finnish-style sauna at this price. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hot spring, and it's one I'd definitely like to return to.

This is a day spa facility located inside the GREENITY HOTEL IWATA, built on the site of the former Iwata Grand Hotel. It is available as a day spa outside of the hotel's guest hours. It has a brown beauty bath, a moor spring, and a Finnish sauna. The price is 1,800 yen, which is a bit high for a day spa. It seems to be used only for non-guest hours, and they don't seem to be trying to make a profit from it, so I was able to relax and unwind. Compared to other day spas, there are fewer baths and it's smaller in size, but because there are fewer customers, it's spacious and nice. The sauna isn't just hot like other day spas, but it's relatively low temperature, and I was able to sweat a lot in a short amount of time. 👌
