天然温泉 大垣コロナの湯

Visited on December 19, 2025. I was excited to visit after the facility was renovated on December 17, 2025. The entrance leading from Corona World has a more urban feel. Previously, it had a Japanese-style feel, which made it seem out of place within Corona World, but now it blends in seamlessly. The shoe lockers no longer require a 100 yen coin, and the IC-chip locks have been replaced with new ones. While entry is handled at a manned counter, exiting is handled by a mechanical system (two machines), where you scan your IC-chip key to pay (QR and credit cards accepted). The free lounge, previously only available to guests using the stone sauna, is now open to those just using the bath. It's fairly spacious, and there's an unlimited selection of manga to read. It's a shame that all the vending machines now only accept IC cards, and the vinegar juice that cost 100 yen is no longer available. The bath itself seemed very new, but not much had changed until I got in. There were more hair dryers in the changing rooms, but the lockers were the same as before, the toilets were unchanged, and the paint on the doors was still peeling. The shower heads in the washing areas were replaced with new ones, and partitions were added between the showers, but the original narrow spacing made it feel cramped, and I bumped into the partitions a few times. However, there is one row without a partition, so this might be better for larger people. The bathtub is exactly the same as before. I thought the tiles were new, but...The sauna has been upgraded to an auto-loyly system, which releases steam periodically, so the temperature and humidity feel more consistent than before. The chairs are now wider, but it also feels cramped. In the open-air area, the chairs are now bigger and equipped with footrests, but the aisles have become narrower. As with the sauna, the equipment has been enlarged and the space feels more cramped overall, as the original size has remained the same. The fee was previously 750 yen for everyone on weekdays, but it has now increased to 1,000 yen for general admission and 900 yen for members, effectively a 150 yen increase for those who are members. It feels like they added on the fee for using the free lounge, but since I'm the type of person who wants to go home and have a drink straight after taking a bath, I don't think it's worth it. I wouldn't mind paying more if the bath was a little newer, but it's just mediocre. If they were going to close the whole building down for construction, I wish they'd made it more completely new. I think they could have kept the old facilities for the old price. Aren't they spending their money in the wrong place? If it's a bathhouse, they should spend the most money on the bath...

My impressions after visiting on the second day after the reopening. For starters, there haven't been any major changes to the baths, except for the addition of partitions in the washing area, the number of lockers in the changing room having been reduced to make the booths for drying hair and grooming larger, and the equipment has been updated. Apart from the baths, there have been quite a few changes. For starters, the shoe lockers no longer require a 100-yen coin, the reception location has changed, and payment is now handled by an automatic machine when you leave. The dining area has also been renovated, and you order via a tablet after taking a seat using a key with an IC tag. Behind it is a free space and a premium space with a health and beauty salon. The free space is accessible for just the bathing fee and is comfortable, with manga and drink vending machines, as well as lounge chairs and semi-private relaxation spaces. The health and beauty salon is in the same location as before, except that the drink bar is now on the second floor, which may be a bit inconvenient. Even when you're drenched in sweat and need a drink right away, having to go upstairs every time is a bit of a pain. The second floor is a rock sauna and relaxation space, which also has a lot of manga and semi-private relaxation spaces, which is great. I'm a little disappointed that the prices have gone up a little and that the indoor wear for the Kenbikoro bath, which previously included a face towel, now only comes with a large towel, but overall it was great.

Ogaki Corona no Yu Natural Hot Spring | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars) The facility is incredibly clean, and the hot spring feels clean and comfortable from the moment you step inside. The changing rooms and bath area are well-maintained, and the overall feel is new. There are many types of baths, and the open-air bath offers a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. The water is soft, so you won't feel tired even after a long soak. The spacious rest area is also a great place to relax after your bath. It can get a little unsettling during busy times, but overall, I think this is a very satisfying hot spring facility.

- It has all the usual amenities like electric, jet, open-air, and carbonated baths, but it's a little disappointing that there's no reclining bath. However, the individual tub bath is spacious and nice. - The sauna is quite hot, and the automatic löyly (steam) is activated regularly, so you can get really hot in a short time, which is good. - There are many hair dryers, and they seem to be high-quality. - The manga corner is spacious and has a decent selection of manga. They don't have Tokyo Ghoul. - Overall, it's clean and I personally like it.

There are a lot of people with children, so the clientele is not the best. The women's bath is filled with boys barely 120cm tall and children still in diapers, which is quite unpleasant. [Rest Area] There are a fair number of manga and plenty of seating. [Women's Bath] •Sauna...An L-shaped tower sauna. The lighting is bright and the TV is loud, so the seats directly in front of the TV get crowded. •Bath...There is no electric bath, but they have a full range of baths, including carbonated springs.
