We visited the Ichihara Chiharadai branch of "Yubune," a hot spring facility that uses natural hot spring water. It seems to be part of the same chain as the day-trip hot spring I previously visited in Sodegaura, also in Chiba Prefecture. The distinguishing feature of the Chiharadai branch, which we visited this time, is, in a word, "moor hot spring." This doesn't simply mean it's located inside a shopping mall (Morimachi Chiharadai Mall)... The hot spring water isn't the typical "seawater mixed type" found in Chiba Prefecture; it's a simple, non-salty moor spring! The hot spring water at this Chiharadai "Yubune" is a sodium chloride bicarbonate cold spring, hypotonic, and weakly alkaline. It's said to be effective for cuts, peripheral circulatory disorders, cold sensitivity, depression, and dry skin. As a modern, new-style super hot spring facility, it boasts stylishly decorated relaxation areas and a wide selection of manga comics! However, due to the closure of nearby facilities, it can get quite crowded on weekends, and finding a seat might be difficult... The in-house restaurant uses an IC tag attached to a shoe locker key wristband for authentication, and payment is made at an automatic payment machine upon exiting, combining the bathing fee with the restaurant's charges. Therefore, you can purchase meal tickets with your wallet stored in a valuables box! Of course, free Wi-Fi is also available! Just like Yumaion in Sodegaura, your wristband number is displayed on the screen and you are called when your meal is ready! This time, I decided to try the yakisoba (fried udon noodles), which was originally a staff meal but has been promoted to the regular menu for 680 yen (tax included). Since it was around 4 PM, outside of peak hours, it was ready in just 5-6 minutes after purchasing the meal ticket! The piping hot yakisoba was topped with fragrant, coarsely shaved bonito flakes that looked incredibly appetizing! The chewy, thick noodles and generous serving of vegetables leave you feeling completely satisfied after your meal! Located about a 15-minute walk from the last station on the Keisei Line, Yumaine Chiharadai offers a relaxing all-day soak for 1180 yen (adults) on weekends and holidays. The facilities are brand new and very comfortable! Nearby in Chiharadai, there's also a branch of "Yuraku no Sato," a chain of super sento (large public bathhouses) operating throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area, so it might be fun to compare the salty hot springs!

Spa Sauna Daytime use on weekends Price: ¥1,180 (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) * ¥980 on weekdays Saunas: Two types (tower sauna and cube sauna) Capacity: Tower sauna (approx. 24 people), cube sauna (approx. 10 people) Temperature: Tower sauna (approx. 87°C), cube sauna (approx. 98°C) Sauna Mats: Both have thick cloth mats permanently installed, plus a kickboard type in front of the entrance. The tower sauna is equipped with an auto-loyly and auto-blower. The cube sauna allows for self-loyly (5-minute intervals). The tower sauna is cooler, but due to its height and equipment, it feels hotter. Cold Baths: Two types Bathtubs: One for about 6 people and one for one person Temperature: Around 18°C Rest Area: The outdoor space is spacious, with ample space reserved for outdoor bathing. Chairs: There are multiple Adirondack chairs, infinity chairs, and deck chairs, so waiting times are unlikely. There's also a wooden deck-like area, making it quite comfortable. Amenities Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. Face soap is also provided. Bath The bathtub is typical of a spa facility. I think this spa facility caters to sauna-goers. The sauna-goers have good manners. It depends on luck, but families often neglect their children. Judging from the expressions on their faces, many people were patient with their children. If the facility doesn't take some kind of action, I feel like this will eventually become a problem.

I arrived around 11:30 AM on a Monday. I chatted briefly with the cute, friendly receptionist. Apparently, the entrance meal package is only available until August. I really hope they bring back the entrance meal package! The men's bath averaged about 10 people. The average number of people using the sauna was about 3-4. I had a very comfortable and relaxing time in the sauna. The meal consisted of two types of rice bowls and a noodle set with a free drink bar! It was 1,080 yen (tax included). Honestly, the taste was average. It was a little pricey... I probably wouldn't eat here if the drink bar wasn't free... At 1:30 PM, the rest area was packed, but there were still seats available. At 2:00 PM, the men's bath averaged about 20 people. Only about 6-7 people were using the sauna. Those who don't like crowds might not be able to relax, lol. You can still enjoy the hot springs. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Depending on the day and time, I might never go again! lol PS I arrived around 8 PM on a Thursday. There is always space for 1-2 people free in the sauna. There is space to relax in the bath. There are also 1-2 free chairs for resting. It seems to be mostly students, but they are well-mannered so it doesn't seem to be a problem. There is also space to rest in the rest area. I decided to buy a multi-ride ticket!

It's about 2km from Chiharadai Station, so it's about a 20-minute walk. Apparently they also offer meal packs on weekdays. I found out about this when I saw a poster in the changing room after I got in. The bathroom and open-air bath are compact, but as a public bath specializing in saunas, the facilities are well-equipped. The hot spring is a moor spring, and the beautiful bubble bath is nice, but the smell of bath salts was a bit off. The cold bath is a comfortable 12°C, ice-cold. There are two types of open-air saunas, and the tower sauna has an auto-loyly every 20 minutes. The top level can get quite hot, so be careful. The cube sauna allows for self-loyly, so you can sweat it out at your leisure. It's small, with two tiers, each with a capacity of eight people. There's no water to wash your sauna mat, so you'll have to carry it to the cold bath to rinse it. There are plenty of relaxation chairs, which is a plus. There are a variety of chairs, from loungers to infinity chairs. The indoor bath also has a warm medicinal bath, so you can have a bath in a change of temperature. There are not many jet baths or electric baths, but they are still available. It's not very large, but there is a rest area where you can recline and relax after your bath.

This is my recent favorite ♨️ sauna experience. The value for money is amazing 💖🤗🔥💓🍀💃🎀🎊🎉🪇😭💖 Absolutely flawless ♨️. A fantastic sauna. The loyly is the best. Reasons ① Sauna heaven: loyly, a sauna massage, and then a dip into the cold bath! ✨️ Most saunas with a sauna massage are rock saunas with no direct connection to the cold bath. But here, you can cycle from loyly → cold bath → open-air bath. It's a rare treat. ② The restaurant is cheap and delicious. Plus, if you order a set meal, you get a free plate of all-you-can-eat salad. That's a huge bonus. ③ The water quality is amazing, with a dark black spring water. ✨️ ④ The admission fee is low. ⑤ The staff are friendly. ⑥ The view is great, with a wide open sky above. ⑦ They offer loyly even on weekdays.
