The Stone Spa

My very first visit to Sasebo, let alone Japan!! I wanted to try this spot out, and when I got there, the sweet lady and I were having a little trouble communicating with each other, but once we both knew why I was there she was such a wonderful host and person!! She took me inside the changing room, showed me where everything was, and helped me set myself up in the stone spa. She made sure that I had everything I needed and was so sweet and attentive! Not only was she one of the perks of this place, but the stone spa was amazing! The minute you get in there, you just start to sweat and relax. Everyone is quiet, and once you've had enough heat, there's an ice dome you can cool off in!! I recommend anyone visiting the area to check this place out!! If I could give it more stars, I would!!

It's been 7 or 8 years since I last used the facility. The price is still very reasonable, the reception staff were kind and polite, and the cleaning was thorough, so I felt very at ease. Sweating naturally and waking up refreshed the next morning (for someone in their 50s who doesn't exercise at all) is just a simple pleasure. It really brought home to me just how good a bedrock bath is. This time, I tried the upgraded oxygen capsule, which requires an additional fee, and stayed there for about 2 hours. In preparation for my next visit, I'll check out YouTube to see how to use the bedrock bath correctly at home, and I'd like to use it again before the end of the year to get my body in shape and welcome the new year.

This was my first time at a stone sauna in Sasebo. As you pass through the entrance, there's a counter on your left. Even though it was my first time, the staff member was kind enough to explain everything to me. Once I got changed and lay down in the stone sauna, I was able to sweat naturally and relax. 😌 Repeating the experience with the ice dome soothed me from the inside out, and on my way home, I was also soothed by the friendly cat Ai-chan. I'll definitely be back! ✨

The shower rooms are fully equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, so you can go empty-handed! There's a dedicated parking lot under the tent for the shop, so you can use that. 👍 There's no time limit, so it seems you can stay from morning until midnight. ☺️ I came here after a long journey, but the lady and the cats were so kind to me, making it a wonderful memory. 😆 Why not visit when you're in Nagasaki or on your way back from Huis Ten Bosch?

As long as you bring your own cup or plastic bottle, you can drink as much oxygen water as you want. Towels are provided, so you can go empty-handed. The bedrock bath is spacious, so you can use it by yourself with plenty of room. (I'm not sure if it's crowded.) The -5°C room was also very comfortable. Repeating the cycle of going from the bedrock bath to the -5°C room made me feel like my skin was tightening. I'd like to return.
