巴川鉱泉（奥秩父鉱泉郷）

All the dishes, including the wild boar hotpot and rare mushrooms that he picked himself, were delicious, and the portions were so large that it was almost impossible to finish. If you were to eat this in Tokyo, it would probably cost at least several tens of thousands of yen.

I stopped by on my way to Chichibu to eat udon. The history and the building itself are mixed reviews. The bath is a family bath, but you can use it for any time you like, and the water is a little milder, so you can relax.

Both the exterior and interior of the inn have a Showa-era feel. However, the food is amazing, beyond imagination in both quality and quantity. I would definitely like to visit again.

It's just a short train ride from Ikebukuro, and the hot spring overlooks the fields, so it was a great way to relax away from the city. The room was spacious and wonderful.

It was nice that meals were served in the room, but it was scary to go to the bath because there was no light on and only three other guests had to turn it on themselves.
