Toyotomi

A public bathing facility in Japan's northernmost hot spring town. You can enjoy heated, free-flowing hot spring water that contains petroleum. You can smell a faint oily odor as soon as you enter the building, and the bathroom has a distinctive smell reminiscent of a tire specialty store. The strong smell may be off-putting to some people, but the quality of the water is so good that it has been certified as a therapeutic hot spring. There are two types of hot spring water: a comfortable temperature and lukewarm water for therapeutic use, so you can use it depending on your purpose. The Jingisukan and venison curry are also delicious, and if you're coming to the Wakkanai area, there's no reason not to stop by. This hot spring is so good that if it were closer, I'd go there every day.

If I ever go to the Soya region, I'd definitely like to go there. The hot spring was brownish and murky, with a slight oil film and floating particles, and it didn't smell as oily as I expected. I soaked in it, and it felt smooth and silky on my skin, and when I licked it, it tasted salty. I got out in about 15 minutes, but it didn't cool down easily and my body was warm. I had driven from Wakkanai via Sarufutsu Village for about three hours, and it was great to be able to relieve my fatigue. I wiped my body with the tenugui I brought with me, but it smelled faintly of petroleum and stained it brown. I think this will be a good memory too☺️

I came to the Toyotomi Onsen Fureai Center. The hot spring is said to produce a rare oil that is effective against atopic dermatitis, so it was very busy and many people seemed to come for hot spring therapy. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I had Genghis Khan, which was thick and filling and very satisfying. The people were great, the baths were great and the food was great. If you're coming to Wakkanai, Hokkaido, I highly recommend Toyotomi Onsen. Apparently, this town produces the milk used to make Seico Mart's dairy products.

November 2025 On a rainy day with snow, I decided to go to the hot springs to warm up, so I drove there. It was a Sunday, but there weren't many people, probably because it was right after opening. The hot springs had a unique smell, and although it was a cold day, I felt so warm after warming up that I drove around in short sleeves. The lockers for valuables require a 100 yen deposit, which is returned later. The restaurant inside the facility was also popular.

It's very rare hot spring in Japan, I guess. Because the water smells like oil, gasoline. But it actually feels nomal when I took the bath. It's the fantastic experience for me here. I bought the T-suit , it's so cool without price. It's a bit expensive for me.
