UMEKITA ONSEN REN Wellbeing Park

I visited the spa & wellness center with my wife in June 2025. When we entered the facility, we had to remove our shoes and place them in a shoes locker before entering the reception area. I think this was a nice touch because it puts you into this "de-stress mode". We needed to download an app to complete our booking. The app is available only in Japanese, which is a big bummer. This didn't cause any issues for us because my wife is Japanese. Once we had signed in, it was time to hit the gym. The gym was small but well-equipped. It had all the latest Technogym exercise equipment and AI-powered workout circuit where AI works as your personal trainer. There was also a free weights area, but if you have a bigger frame, you're bound to run into space issues. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience. You can also participate in different exercise classes. Me and my wife joined spinning and Muay Thai classes. Both are quite demanding, and we received some help from the staff to set up our bikes before we started. They basically play the exercise video on a large screen, and we follow it. The video was dubbed in Japanese. The saddle was a bit bad for me, and I ended up suffering from groin chafing. For Muay Thai it was basically the same thing except we had gloves and sandbags. It was very tough but fun at the same time. We really enjoyed that one. There were some women that were complaining about pain around elbow area, but after talking to them, the main issue seemed to be poor technique. Next up was the infinity pool. We went swimming during the nighttime, and boy was it a treat. The view was great, the water was warm, and they had underwater music playing and different lights lighting the pool. The pool use rules were pretty strict, we weren't allowed to swim, and we had to avoid coming up too quickly from under the water as it would cause splash issues. Apparently there's a restaurant below the pool, so it was understandable. There was also a jacuzzi and a few water massage spots. Inside there was also a regular pool where you can swim freely and a water gym where you can work out while in the water. Both the indoor and outdoor areas had a poolside bar. After that we decided to test their spa services. My wife booked us a facial treatment that included peeling, facial mask and an upper body + head massage. Everything went great, and we had a nice chat with the workers, although due to my limited ability to speak Japanese I mostly ended up throwing in a comment or two when I could. Last up was the onsen that included a proper, good-sized Finnish sauna. There was only one other person besides me, so I ended up testing the capabilities of the sauna stove, and as a Finn I was not disappointed. The pool area had different hot spring pools + a cold-water pool (around 20 degrees if I remember correctly, truthfully, it could have been cooler). The pool selection included your typical mineral pools with different degree waters that are displayed on the wall. There was also a pool that stimulates your body with electrical currents. Overall, a really great experience, can easily recommend. There was also a restaurant, but we didn't visit it since we already had dinner plans. Apart from minor hiccups (there was a bit of a mixup with our facial treatment booking due to the booking device), we had great time at the spa, especially since for the price you get the gym, onsen and indoor pool. Outdoor pool costs extra.

I wanted to give negative 69 stars.. I am counting how many stupid events that are occurring as I audit this place 1) your gal with pony tail who do not have knowledge of work stopped me when I was swimming midway to tell me no swimming. I took the sign and showed her no crawl no butterfly, limpeh swimming breast stroke.. u know breast STROKE??!! But she no understand angmo.. so I got another guy to explain. I told him I am swimming BREAST STROKE at the open infinity pool. He also don’t understand he kept saying I am swimming crawl. HELLO, BREAST STROKING and CRAWLING, u no understand. Left me standing in open air in the cold and wasted my precious seconds. Then he realised he lost, he say no BREAST STROKING too near the edge as there are cafes below. I told him to check the video cam to see I am swimming at mid line of pool 2) private rooms they say is for 2 or more person to make out. 1 person cannot reserve.. how dumb is that… 1hr here and counting. I am seeing more service lapse Reply on 22nd Dec2025, 026am Japan time.. I was there I believe between 3May-4may2025. And u took 7mths to reply. Please refer to the sign u put up in ur Onsen below and stop making excuses, it says and I quote, “Crawl and butterfly strikes are prohibited. “ I swam neither. I was swimming BREAST STROKE when ur staff stopped me.. did your sign says no breast stroke???

We arrived in Umeda at 6am after an overnight bus so we were very tired and sleep deprived when we arrived. First we went to the pool for a swim and were pleased to see it was clean and had great facilities including sauna and bar. We next went to the onsen which had many rejuvenating pools, an enormous sauna, and a cold plunge for some cold shock therapy. The powder room after the onsen was excellent. We then went to the free space for a nap and woke up feeling great an hour later. After this we got a free complimentary drink and headed out to explore more of Osaka. This is a great facility if you’re passing through the city or if you live here,and the price is very reasonable for the service.

I really love onsen here and this place should be a must visit when you are in osaka. Variety and unique of each onsen ponds with the perfect temperature. Locker room, powder room(love it), toilets are very neat and clean. Relax place for lady is a hideaway and so relax. Other highlight is 12 hot stones, salted Himalayan room and cool room.. dont miss! Staffs are attentive and friendly. The gym and outdoor pool seems busy so I like more for onsen path. Food at restaurant is ok with good service. Recommend come earlier in the morning you will feel calm, private and relax.

It’s a money pit! Ok set up, nice area but waaay to loud music. Hard to talk at 10 am by the pool. Charging money for everything and introducing new rules and charges as the day goes. So we would not visit again. Takes some of the joy out when you feel new rules are made up to scam more money off you. We entered via our hotel, paid one fee there, another fee to get to the actual outside pool, then a drink buying policy to get sunloungers, then a new rental fee pr hour for the same sun loungers… all tatoos need to be covered, they sell patches to cover them.
