Unitopia Sasayama Welcome Gate

I visit here every year to dig up sweet potatoes and pick black edamame beans. I make a reservation by phone in advance, and on the day, I pay at the welcome gate (or reception). After that, they will guide me to which field to go to in a tent at the edge of the parking lot. It's easier to work here if you bring your own gloves and boots. The people working in the fields were all very kind, and this year I was able to enjoy digging potatoes and picking edamame beans in the clear air again. The restroom in the parking lot where I entered was a Japanese-style one, but my kindergarten-aged daughter used the wheelchair-accessible restroom up the stairs. If you're just picking in the fields, it's fine to just pay for the beans and potatoes, but I think you have to pay an entrance fee (or something) if you want to enter without staying overnight on the Unitopia Sasayama grounds.

The parking lot is free and spacious. There are also restrooms. They also have a small selection of souvenirs. The plants are well-maintained, making it a lovely place. However, the campsite is far away. I think that's the first thing anyone would notice. There's a large cart in the parking lot that you can use freely. But carrying all your camping gear up the steep slope with that big cart is much harder than you'd imagine. It's dangerous for someone who isn't strong. The entrance to the closer campsites is particularly steep and gravelly, so it was really hard to lift the cart. I even thought that if regular cars can't get in, they should offer a service where you can transport your gear by pickup truck, even if it's for a fee.

A car is essential to Unitopia Sasayama. It might be better to say that there are no places to eat. There are no places to eat near Unitopia Sasayama. There are places to eat about a 10-minute drive away. I recommend buying food before arriving at Unitopia Sasayama. The park is spacious and a great place to experience nature. It's also a good idea to rent bicycles and play with your kids or take a leisurely ride around. Camping is also possible. It is located within a facility that can also be used for events and meetings. However, since access is difficult, I think organizers should consider the participants when holding their events.

Great resort, beautiful park! Excellent for kids, great for a family day! The bungalows are very cute, the shared area is spacious, the toilets are clean and modern. Great value for price. Available activities like fishing, athletic course etc for additional fee. Friendly staff. The hotel area is beautiful. The public bath/onsen is amazing- spacious, warm but not hot water, beautiful garden.

You need to park your car in the large parking lot and enter the hotel. You cannot drive right up to the front of the hotel. A hotel shuttle bus runs between the front of the hotel and the large parking lot. A campsite has been built separate from the hotel near the entrance, so car entry is now stricter than before. On the other hand, it may be safer for small children.
