Uramigataki Onsen

"Uramigataki Onsen" is a free, mixed hot spring where you enter WITH swimwear. The facilities include a parking lot, a small changing room and two cold showers. Since it's free, there is no staff at the place, neither shampoo or body soap (so bring your own stuff). The water is salty and very hot. From the bath, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the greenery. There is also a waterfall next to the onsen, accessible from a trail on the side of the road.

すごく素晴らしい経験でした❗️while reenacting “Battle Royale” in Hachijojima, we stumbled across this onsen and had a fantastic experience. The beautiful and surreal setting was, like everything in the island, truly unique and spectacular. 貴重な所です！

Awesome spot free of charge with a stunning atmosphere and view. But it gets packed fast. Was lucky to enjoy it by myself for a while before so many people showed up.

Great free onsen. Just next to the road and close to the waterfalls. Just be sure to take a towel and bathing clothes with you
