山の湯

It was a lovely inn, close to the highway interchange and reasonably priced. When I arrived, the innkeeper came to the parking lot to greet me. The innkeeper's kindness was wonderful, and I had a wonderful stay. The bath was not a hot spring but a mineral spring, but the tub was very spacious and the water was better than that of a mediocre hot spring. There are no vending machines, but alcohol and soft drinks are self-service and reasonably priced. Amenities are not listed, but they include yukata, towels, and even toothbrushes. However, the road at the entrance is narrow and extremely steep! If an oncoming vehicle is coming, one of them will have no choice but to go down the narrow, steep slope. Please drive carefully if you are coming in a low-slung car, a large passenger car, or a large motorcycle. Not only can cars pass each other, but cars and motorcycles cannot pass each other either.

The homemade dinner was delicious. The bath was relaxing, and the futons were incredibly soft. The front desk staff and the owner were so kind and attentive, making it a truly relaxing place to stay. There was a laundry room, and the Rinnai gas dryer dried our clothes quickly, which was a great help. There were coloring books and toys for children. I highly recommend this place.

There's a wide variety of food, all delicious, and the temperature of the mineral springs is just right. Alcohol is also reasonably priced at 300 yen per can. Massage machines are also free to use. Futons are also provided. If the hotel isn't fully booked at the last minute, you can stay cheaply, so that's the best time to visit.

I went to Yamanoyu after watching a YouTube video. 8,400 yen. Two meals included. Dogs are allowed. (I was a bit surprised!) Drinks! 300 yen (alcohol). Self-report form required!

The Japanese-style room has a retro Showa-era feel, and the atmosphere is great. The price is great, and the drinks in the building are average and reasonably priced.
