八森温泉 ゆりんこ

On my way back from eating seafood bowls at Sakata Fishing Port, I looked for a day-trip hot spring. I found a nice-looking hot spring a little way up the mountain from the fishing port, so I went for a bath. Admission was 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary school students. The changing room was spacious and easy to get undressed. The bathroom had two jet baths next to the large indoor bath, and the water pressure in the jet baths was so strong it almost hurt. The water was a little hot, odorless, and had a slightly salty taste. There is also a sauna and a cold bath. Seeing that all the customers using the sauna followed the rules and showered before getting into the cold bath, I felt that this was a facility with many good customers. There was an open-air bath outside, with chairs around it so I could cool down and relax. There were maple trees planted around the open-air bath, which I imagine would be beautiful during the autumn foliage season. There were 12 washing areas, and liquid soap and shampoo-in-conditioner were provided. There were also three free hair dryers on the sinks. I also made a points card while visiting Sakata, so I'd like to come back and take a bath.

We visited after having a taro stew party at the adjacent Maizuru Park. The sodium chloride spring water is reddish-brown, warms you up nicely, and leaves you feeling refreshed. There's an open-air bath and an indoor bath, as well as a reclining bath and a jet bath. There's also a sauna. Shampoo and body soap are provided. Adults: ¥460, hand towels available for ¥240. It was bustling with many people. The restaurant is also popular and busy. The Chokai Kogen soft-serve ice cream (¥370 per cup), available only on weekends, is delicious. Set meals start from ¥880, and ramen from ¥520, making it reasonably priced. Local vegetables are also sold at the front desk. The large communal rest area is an additional ¥200. A private 8-tatami mat room is available for 2 hours at ¥1100. The free parking lot is spacious. The location is behind Ichijo Hachimangu Shrine in Yahata, Sakata City, where National Route 345 and National Route 344 intersect.

September 8, 2028 - First Visit This is Hachimori Onsen Yurinko, a day-trip hot spring facility. The fee is 500 yen for adults. Even if you don't have a towel, you can rent one at the counter, so you'll get change back from 1,000 yen. I think it's a very reasonable price. The water is a pleasant brownish color and at a comfortable temperature. Shampoo and body soap are provided. The open-air bath is lukewarm, but you can relax while enjoying the view outside. After the bath, my skin felt smooth and refreshed. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

It feels like a facility in a park in the mountains. The baths have light brown water, the indoor bath is a little hot, and the open-air bath is lukewarm. There is also a sauna, but it feels a little small. The staff are also very polite and I like them. In addition to the large hall, there are also rest areas, so it's a great place to relax. The attached dining room, Chokai, can be accessed not only from inside the facility but also from outside. There are also massage chairs, but they are a little pricey at 200 yen for 10 minutes. 💦

It's a brownish color and leaves your skin feeling smooth. There's also a fairly large open-air bath. However, the open-air bath is only open from 13:00. Souvenirs and vegetables are sold, and there's a restaurant attached. The rest area costs 200 yen, I think. There's a free waiting area with chairs. The parking lot seems to have space for nearly 50 cars.
