In a nutshell, "A public bath for local regulars." I visited this bathhouse after seeing its website. First, there was a sign at the entrance saying that the outdoor baths, including the waterfall bath and the reclining bath, were under construction. Still, I went in, expecting to find the Health Cave, Hinoki bath, and large outdoor bath, but there was only one large outdoor bath. The rest were all under construction. I think the website should also state that there was only one open-air bath due to construction. I felt scammed. Perhaps because it was around 5 PM on a weekday, local regulars were talking loudly in the sauna, indoor bath, and large outdoor bath, making it completely unsettling. There were a lot of dead leaves in the open-air bath, making it difficult to enjoy the bath. I was thinking of relaxing in the lounge after getting out, when a local regular came over next to me and started yelling on the phone... I've been to many hot springs, but the clientele here is quite bad. I don't recommend going here as a tourist.

It's called "Kanairo." It's located at the foot of Mt. Hachimen, close to Taguchi Interchange. You leave your shoe locker key at the front desk and borrow a locker key. Perhaps due to the quality of the spring water, soap and shampoo don't lather well. The bath building is made of wood and has a high, spacious ceiling. There are more than 15 washing areas, so you won't have any problems even when it's crowded. The bath is spacious, and there is also a great open-air bath. The bath is a little lukewarm, but you can stay in it for a long time. There is also a rest room and souvenir shop on site, which is convenient.

This is a day-trip hot spring facility at the foot of Mt. Hachimen. The water is simple spring water, with a pH of 8.1 and a temperature of 30.4°C. As the water temperature is low, it is heated and circulated. The facility is reasonably spacious, and there are plenty of indoor and outdoor baths. Because the water is circulated, temperature control seems to be very strict. There is also accommodation on site, and guests were bathing there as well, perhaps for free. Although transportation access is not particularly convenient, it seems to be very popular, and there are a fair number of customers.

20251101 I dropped in for a quick bath. Several cats, accustomed to people, greeted me in the parking lot. The facilities at the hot spring facility itself were impeccable. The large public bath, open-air bath, amenities, and more were all excellent. While the quality of the water is a matter of personal preference, there were no particular highlights for me. That's probably a negative point. Overall, however, it's a very good day-trip hot spring facility. I'll definitely visit again.
