Yobiko Daiba Hot Spring

Visited Yobuko Onsen "Daiba no Yu" at 5:30 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026. This bathing facility combines artificial and natural hot springs. It opened in 2012 and while the facility is compact, it's still new and clean. Open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (closing at 7:30 PM), the admission fee is 700 yen for adults (520 yen after 5:00 PM), and payment is cash only. There are no shoe racks, only shelves, and changing lockers are 10 yen returnable. Amenities include body soap, rinse-in shampoo, and a hair dryer. The soap is an unknown brand, and there are three hair dryers: a Panasonic Ionity and a Kozumi KHD-9330. Other amenities include a Tanita weighing scale. The main indoor bath area features five shower-equipped mixer faucets and one main bath (41°C, artificial radium spring). A separate, small observation room features another faucet and a small secondary bath (40°C, natural hot spring). There is no open-air bath. The water for the secondary bath appears to be drawn from nearby Takakushi Onsen, a blend of Takakushi Spring and Takakushi No. 2 Well. The spring quality is a hypotonic, alkaline, low-temperature sodium bicarbonate chloride spring (also known as a sodium bicarbonate spring). The temperature is 28.7°C, the pH is unknown, and the dissolved salts are 1,134 mg. The water appears almost colorless, transparent, tasteless, and odorless, but its slightly thick texture makes it known as "beautiful skin water." While there are no dining options on site, there is a relaxing lounge with tatami mats. Given the lack of other notable hot springs nearby, this is a valuable hot spring facility for the area.

This hot spring facility in Yobuko is new. The radium spring is colorless, transparent, and odorless, but they also brought in an alkaline spring with a pH of 8.8 from Takakushi Onsen, 23 kilometers away, by truck, so we were able to enjoy two different types of baths. Takakushi Onsen had thick, viscous water. Being on the coast, it was nice to be able to cool off in the strong wind. The washing area was small, so I thought it might get crowded with a large group. It was a Sunday evening, but we were able to relax in the bath. The sauna and cold baths seem to alternate between men and women on a daily basis. There was cold water in the rest area, but it would have been nice to have some in the changing rooms as well. Free parking is available.

Yobuko Onsen The facilities are new and clean. 700 yen for public holidays and outside the city. There's also a tatami-floored rest room. The hot spring water is clear and colorless, with two baths, which appear to be alternately for men and women. One of them has a sauna. I went two days in a row, but there was no sauna on the second day. The Takakushi Onsen hot springs at the source are very viscous. I love it. Even though it was a holiday, there weren't many people there, so I was able to relax. It's next to a roadside station? There's just a flag, but I wish they'd put a sign on the roof saying "Daiba Onsen." I've been to Yokono Kawataro before, but I had no idea there was a hot spring there.

I’m giving this place five stars because even though it’s small it’s not crowded and the water is very nice. One can feel really relaxed here. The water is not too hot nor too cold. Prior to entering the baths the showers are well-stocked with various bath amenities. From the baths there’s a good view of the water and there’s a nice tatami area outside the baths for relaxing post bath. The vending machines have lots of drink options including sake one cups. I was very impressed by the nice service from the staff as I entered and left.

The water quality is soft and slightly hot, which is great. The feeling of the water soothing and moisturizing my skin, which was rough from the sea breeze, was amazing! I visited at noon 🕛12:00. Because of the lingering summer heat, there were few other customers at this time, and I was able to enjoy a bath almost like having the place to myself 🛀. The panoramic bath also had a great view and felt wonderful. I will definitely visit again.
