Yumura Onsen

“♨️Chillin’ by the River — Izumo Yumura Onsen, Urushini no Onsen” Yu” ⸻ While visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine, I stopped by Urushijin no Yu. ♨️🔥 The open-air bath is located right next to the river, and soaking in the warm water while listening to the babbling brook was the ultimate chill-out experience. 😌🦜 The water is an alkaline simple hot spring, which leaves your skin smooth and warm after a bath. 💛 The rustic feel blended into nature is incredibly calming. There’s an open-air bath right next to the river, so you can soak in the warm spring while listening to the water flow — super chill vibes. The spring quality is alkaline simple hot spring, which makes your skin smooth and keeps you warm after bathing. Nothing flashy here, but honestly that simplicity makes it feel so relaxing. It really gives off that “local’s favorite onsen” kind of comfort. Plus, they offer day-use bathing, so it’s perfect for a quick stop during your trip! Highlights💡 • Outdoor bath right by the river, pure nature vibes • Free-flowing from the source, mildly warm and great for long soaks • Alkaline simple hot spring = smooth skin + lasting warmth • More of a cozy local spot than a touristy one
The hot spring is odorless, transparent, and slightly warm, making it comfortable. The changing rooms and other areas of the building are air-conditioned. The foot bath costs 200 yen, and the bath itself is 600 yen. There is only soap provided, no shampoo or body wash. There is also an open-air bath, and it is on the river side, so it is well ventilated. It had been a while since my last visit, but it was a great experience. You can also take a day trip to the national guesthouse across the river for the same price.
This is a small hot spring located next to a very peaceful river. The open-air bath is lukewarm and comfortable, and although there is only one indoor bath, it is nice. I had heard that there was an open-air bath, but I found a bath along the river that was hidden and had no changing room. It is visible from the road, but the location was so good I couldn't resist going in. There were no people around at all, so it was a great feeling. I would like to come again.
I came here because an acquaintance told me that this is a genuine hot spring that flows directly from the source. It is said to be 42°C all year round, so it felt a little hot in the middle of summer. The view of the river from the bath and the breeze blowing across the river were both pleasant. The atmosphere, which felt like a time trip, was also soothing. The Kishikawa Dairy coffee milk I had after the bath was also exceptional.
25/05/31 Drop-in bath: 600 yen There was one indoor bath and one semi-outdoor bath, and the water was slightly warm. It was clear and tasteless. Soap was provided at the washing area. There was one faucet, no mirror. The changing room had a basket-style bath and a hair dryer. There was a returnable safe in the hallway. There was a foot bath outside for an additional 200 yen.
