Yunomoto Hot Spring

The hot spring water has a sulfurous scent, mineral deposits, and a smooth, viscous texture, making it gentle on the skin. In recent years, the popularity of air guitar has been growing in Kagoshima Prefecture, with many talented air guitarists emerging from the area. This led to the hosting of the regional qualifiers for the All Japan Air Guitar Championships in July 2016. The following year, in August 2017, they even managed to host the final round of the All Japan Air Guitar Championships. Eizenji Temple served as the venue for the Dark Horse match, and not only restaurants and Japanese confectionery shops, but even an Inari shrine collaborated with the tournament. Unfortunately, due to the approaching Typhoon No. 5, the championship final was moved from an outdoor venue to the Yuda Community Center, among other operational issues. However, the tournament itself and the hospitality were truly wonderful. Will Yunomoto become a mecca for air guitar in Japan? Going forward, the key will be whether the air guitar scene can be enhanced throughout Yunomoto, not just in certain areas.
It's only 200 yen for adults, which is really cheap! There are two types of baths that are effective for rheumatism, gynecological diseases, and neuralgia. Whenever I go, there are always regulars there chatting. Everyone always greets each other as they go in and out (entering and leaving) through the curtain. You don't have to greet them, so first-timers can relax. I'm a newcomer who just moved here, so I can't join in yet, but it's a really great hot spring.
In addition to the shower facilities, there was also a space where you could use the hot spring water instead of a shower, which was very charming. The hot spring water was an ochre color and the temperature was just right, which was just my preference.
There are many washing areas. There are two bathtubs, one with a hot sulfur smell and one with just the right temperature, and they cost 200 yen. If you are using the shower next to someone, the water pressure will be weak, so you need to be careful.
Excellent cheap onsen. Really well kept, big parking lot and very clean. Bring your own soap and towel. Sells milk!
