湯ノ岱温泉 河川敷の湯

This is a hot spring that springs up on the riverbank in Yunodai Onsen. The water is a clear, brownish color. Metallic brown mineral deposits float in the water, and it has a sweet, carbonated taste with a distinct metallic feel. It's a very good hot spring. It takes a little courage to get in, but it's a wonderful hot spring, so I highly recommend it. There is no analysis report, so the details are unknown. Yunodai Onsen is personally my favorite hot spring in southern Hokkaido, so I'm grateful to have discovered this one as well. You can reach it in about 5 minutes on foot from the Yunodai Kaminokuni Health Resort Center.
I've only bathed my lower body once, but there's no parking space and no privacy screens around, so a proper bath is difficult. I parked in the Yunodai Onsen parking lot and prepared. Maybe I could at least have a footbath? This time, it was raining, so I gave up. Looking at it, I feel the power of the earth.
The water temperature is around 30 degrees, so I don't think it's suitable for hot springs... Maybe it's not bad for kids to use as a swimming pool in the middle of summer?
Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
