I used an RV park about 10 minutes away from here and visited the hot springs around 7:30am on a public holiday. The customers and staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a very pleasant time (^^)

Public baths are cheap because they are in a hot spring town, and you can buy soap, shampoo, etc. even if you forget them. If you are particular about brands, be sure to bring them with you.

It seems to be mostly used by locals, but it's a calm and relaxing place. I always stop by when I'm touring Kyushu, and the staff are always very kind and helpful.
